BG iMatrix-511 is a recombinant laminin 511 E8 fragment of the natural laminin protein, which is a crucial cell adhesion protein that interacts with relevant cell signaling receptors to enhance cell viability and functionality. The E8 fragment retains the full integrin binding activity of laminin and was found to adhere more strongly to ES/iPS cells than the full-length protein.

ECM Pre-coated Method
STEP 1 Dilute the BG iMatrix-511 or the BG iMatrix-511 Silk solution with sterile PBS(-).
Coat dishes with 0.5μg/cm2.(Optimal coating concentration depends on each cell line, from 0.1 to 1.5μg/cm2)
Incubate for one of the following:• 1 h at 37OC• 3 h at room temperature• Over night at 4OC.
Remove remaining fluid from the coated surface, and plate the cells at 1.0 to 2.0 x 104 cells/cm2.

Add and mix BG iMatrix-511 or BG iMatrix-511 Silk solution to the cell suspension at passing.(Recomended concentration: 0.25μg/cm2)
Plate the mixture of cell and BG iMatrix-511 solution at 1.0 to 2.0 x 104 cells/cm2.
