If the clear channel is configured to work with XDM-100/50 then the clear channel type must be Unframed.

22/04/10 update:
1. BG20 support framed & unframed clear channel on port #21
2. BG20 support only framed clear channel on port #20
3. Unframed E1 clear channel is not available when ME_2G_4F is assigned because only COM-DCCx can process unframed E1 clear channel; moreover, ME_2G_4F can’t be assigned if COM-DCCx is occupied by DCC XC or E1 clear channel.
4. For unframed E1 clear channel, you not need to create DCC XC from DCC XC window. When you set port 21# to “unframed E1 clear channel”, this E1 is connected to DCC processor automatically, and then you can’t find COM-DCCx in DCC XC creating window because it is already occupied by unframed E1 clear channel

1. Note that only on VC12_21 we also have the Unframed E1.
2. Make sure that both endpoints will be the same types of E1.

The Clear channel can be XC either to the network (SDH TU12 – to the aggregate port like in the example above) or to the E1 port.
