What do they do?

Eastside is working with the British Film Institute (BFI) , BAFTA, Creative Skillset and Pinewood Studios, to bring rich learning experiences to young people with a passion for film and to provide opportunities to be part of the UK's future film industry. Led by industry experts, BFI Film Academy courses cover every area of the film industry, enabling young people to develop the commercial and cultural knowledge and skills to help make a career in film a reality.

Our roles

Director - controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, and visualizes the script

Producer - supervises the making of a film

Cinematographer – controls camera and lighting crews

Editor - part of the creative post-production process

Sound – record diegetic and non-diegetic sound
