From Open Access to Open Science


Open Access far from a done deal (EU/EC call for full OA by 2020) BUT agenda has progressed …

Open Science: open scientific processes and products from all levels to everyone …

• Open Access (publications, data, software …)• Open Methodology (open notebooks, study preregistration,

replicability)• Open Evaluation (open metrics, open peer review)

Goal: Put the Open Science policy on the agenda of all Member States & stakeholders in a concrete and tangible form

Networking•Empower the NOADs network with mechanisms to allow policy formulation and alignment

•RDM for all - tools and training for researchers, administrators and coordinators

Technical•Integrate additional research artefacts (software, methods, models, protocols, …) and other research related objects

•Tools for creation and assessment of machine-readable data management plans (DMPs)

Advance Interoperability


•Interoperability at all e-Infrastructure layers• Repositories and registries (at data provider

sites)• With other infrastructures (publishers, PSI,
