Sawing - When sawing wedges to your desired thickness, use the provided rip fence as a guide and as a guard for the saw blade. Use 3 of the black spacers under the saw. The thickness is set by moving the spindle up or down. Beveling - Match the cutters in your desired combination and place them on 2 of the black spacers on the spindle. You then center the Cutters by raising or lowering the spindle. The locking handle is on the side of the table, the raising or lowering lever is under the table. The clamp-type fixture slides in the slot in the table top. Adjust the stop under the clamp bar, allowing the edge of the wedge to hang over the fixture sufficiently to keep the cutter from hitting the fixture. Adjust the screw on the clamp for good clamping pressure. Loosen the 2 thumb screws and adjust the width with the feed screw. The first cut should leave a good clean edge. The second cut, on the other side, also determines the width of the wedge. General - The dust collector hood serves as a guard over the cutters, and should be connected to one of the Martindale Portable blowers, which are shown in our catalog, this will provide efficient dust removal. High-speed steel cutters may be used for wood wedges. Carbide-tipped cutters should be used on fiberglass wedges.
