Our current focus: Effective support in crisis situations by providing relevant information for disaster relief workers.



Because each place can be a shelter.

Next Steps: Business development

•  Assessment of stakeholder needs to optimize the bettermap.org service

•  Create a proper social business case. Aggregating, validating and updating NGO data is a added-‐value!

•  Transform the current initiative into a corporate body in line with the needs of a social business

•  Create more awareness amongst public authorities, lobbies, syndicates and organizations



Next Steps: Technology

•  Create a proper relational database •  DeHine and implement workHlow for data validation and updating (heartbeat mechanism)

•  Development of Hilter mechanisms to select data –  for visualization on bettermap.org –  for download in open-‐data standard formats (cvs, XML ….) –  for embedding maps in other websites

•  Development of optimized data in-‐ and output gateways
