Bethel based combat veterans charity poised for expansion and relocation.

Bethel CT May 7th, 2015: Bethel based veterans charity, Operation Vet Fit co-founder and Marine Corps veteran, Dan Gaita announces major expansion and relocation of its one-of-a-kind combat veterans fitness center.

What started in 2012 as an idea based around a growing body of research specific to returning combat veterans reintegration struggles has since morphed into a veterans advocacy agency that has not only provided area combat veterans with a free upscale 24/7 fitness facility, but has expanded its services to include advocacy work for veterans, employment, home repairs, transportation assistance, medical and education benefits assistance, military records and awards services, as well as legal services and assistance for our veterans. Along with this they also provide comedy night dinners, camping and river rafting trips, NCAA football and basketball games, races, RVing, Golf outings and other camaraderie based activities geared toward post combat service healing and reintegration. And they cover 100% of the cost for their veteran members.

Next year Operation Vet Fit founders, Erin and Dan Gaita will be relocating to South Carolina to expand its reach and further assist combat veterans re-entering the civilian world. This move will allow them not only more access to other veterans outreach programs, but more resources and access to active duty members currently serving.

While Bethel has continued to tax the non-profit charity, the co-founders have done their research and found an area that is not only very receptive to veterans charities, but also seems to have a clear understanding regarding how a nonprofit charity is set up under the tax law rules and regulations.

OVF plans to sell the current Private Studio Fitness location and have it possibly remain under the management of one of our combat theatre veterans upon our relocation next June. One hundred percent (100%) of the funds from the sale of the OVF assets will carry forward to the new location and be used exclusively for the charitable purposes of the agency.

Currently, OVF serves 89 combat theatre veterans and active duty military personnel. The relocation will enable it to continue to serve its existing base of veterans while expanding to serve a new geographical region with close proximity to multiple military installations.

The proximity to the major east coast military bases will also enable OVF to work with active duty personnel prior to departure from active service. A period Gaita dubbed a crucial cross-road for our combat veterans as many of them lack a clear plan for reintegration or the tools to effectively make the adjustment with the most success. We will go to them instead of waiting for them to come to us added Gaita

Gaita stated that, We know what works and how to get the solution in front of those that will need it before they are even aware something is wrong. Currently, OVF has a 100% track record of success. 0 suicides, 0 arrests while celebrating multiple college graduations for its members with degrees ranging from Psychology to Organizational Leadership to Law and Social Work. In short, OVF Veterans are not only getting into shape and staying out of trouble, they are getting jobs, educations, and joining our ranks in the service and support of our fellow veterans.

Gaita went on to say: Our veterans have usually seen more before their 20th birthday than most others may see in a lifetime. They are disciplined, intense, resilient, tenacious and honorable. The nation has a lot to learn from these men and women.

Given a chance to prove themselves, most of our veterans are simply more qualified in many arenas and far more teachable as they tend to demonstrate a greater standard of work ethic, integrity and conviction than most of their civilian counterparts.

We are talking about the potential of Americas next Greatest Generation here. . 22 veterans kill themselves every single day. Not on our watch.
