Using this extension you can show best selling products for your online store. Our

extension easy to setup and give many options for settings from admin. You can show best selling products into home page center, left column or right column within few minutes. You can show/hide price, add to cart button, add to wishlist, ratings

from admin. You can set number of products per row from admin. You can also set best selling products from particular time period in days. Example 7,10,30,60 days etc.

After installing Bestseller Product Extension. Please Logout from admin account and

Relogin and Refresh Cache.

Step-1

Go to CMS->Pages

Step-2

Click on Home Page.

Step-3

Click on Content Tab. (From left Navigations)

Step-4

Default package (Magento 1.4 to 1.9):-

Page.

You will get Following Screen.


rwd package (Magento 1.9):-

Step-5

You can put this block in any page or interface.


Configuration Settings:

Step-1

Go to System -> Configuration -> CAPACITY WEB SOLUTIONS ->Best seller Products.

Step-2

Click on General Tab. You will get Following Screen.


Step-3

1) Enabled/Disabled the Bestseller Products Extension From Admin Panel.

2) In the Heading set title.

3) In the Number of Items field set how many best selling product display in the block.

(If Need to display all the Products then remain blank).

4) Number of Items per row set how many best selling product per row.

5) Using Thumbnail width & Thumbnail height to set image height and width.

6) Using time period we can set how many days ordered best selling products.

Ex: If I set 5 in the time period then it will display best selling products which will

be sold in the last five days.

7) Set Yes or no in to Show product price field to display best selling product price on

the listing or not.

8) Set Yes or no in to Show reviews & ratings field to display best selling product ratings &

reviews on the listing or not.

9) Set Yes or No in to Add to cart field to display add to cart button on the listing or not.

10) Set Yes or No in to Add to wishlist field to display add to wishlist link on the listing or

not.

11) Set Yes or No in to Add to compare field to display add to compare link on the listing

or not.

12) Set Yes or No in to show Out Of Stock filed to display best selling product if product

is out of stock than it will display it or not.

Step-4

Now Check Bestseller extension on front-end. You will get below Screen.

Q-1:

Is it possible to show in left or right sidebar ?

After installing Bestseller Product Extension. Please Logout from admin account and

Re-login and Refresh Cache.

There are two Solution to display in left or right sidebar

Solution-1:

Go to app > design > frontend >your package > your theme > layout> catalog.xml

in the xml we can call the best seller block in the following way:

Default Package (Magento 1.4 to 1.9):-

Rwd Package (Magento 1.9) :-

Solution-2:

Step-1

Go to CMS->Static Blocks.

Step-2

Click on Add New Block Button.

Step-3

Default Package (Magento 1.4 to 1.9) :-

Rwd Package (Magento 1.9) :-

Put in to New Block content and Save Block.You will get Following Screen.


Step-4

Go to CMS->Widgets.

Step-5

Click on Add New Widgets instance Button.

Step-6

For the "Type" select "CMS Static Block". For the "Design" select "your package/your

theme" and Click on Continue Button.

Step-7

1) Set Widget Instance Title. (Ex-Bestseller)

2) Click on Add Layout Update Button. (Layout Updates Section)

3) For the "Display On" Select Your Choice Locations. For the "Block Reference" Select

"Left Column OR Right Column".



Step-8

Click on Widget Options Tab. (From left Navigations)

Step-9

Click "Select Block", and choose the "AddThis" block we created previously, and Save.


Step-10

Go to System -> Configuration -> CAPACITY WEB SOLUTIONS ->Best seller Products.

Step-11

Click on General Tab. Manage All Field and Save Config.

Q-2:

I have installed bestseller extension. But when I click on bestseller tab in the config page

will get a 404. :(.

Solution:

After installing Bestseller Product Extension. Please Logout from admin account and Re-

login and Refresh Cache.

Q-3:

I have installed bestseller extension on magento 1.9 (rwd package) but ratings not display

on front-end.

Solution:


Step-1

Please open below file.

/skin/frontend/rwd/default/css/madisonisland.css.

Step-2

Please find below code.

Please replace the find code.

After replace Code then you will get below screen.

Now check Bestseller extension on front-end.

How to use bestseller extension in other themes ???.

Solution:

For use bestseller extension in other themes you need to follow below steps:-

Step-1

Copy "bestseller" folder from /app/design/frontend/base/default/template

and put it in to your /app/design/frontend/Your Package/Your theme/template/

folder.

Step-2

After successfully Copy File & folder you need to clear/refresh all your cache. Step-3

Now Check Bestseller Extension on Front-end.
