oven cleaning solution from Teka . . .

The new Ethos HL range of ovens from Teka feature the unique HydroClean EcoCleaning System. Simply pour in a glass of water and run the HydroCleanprogramme for 24 minutes. That’s 4 minutes of actual warming time and 20minutes cooling time, then simply wipe the oven clean with a damp cloth -leaving the inside of the oven sparkling clean. During those first 4 minutes theoven temperature rises to a mere 60ºC. This superb systems saves Energy,saves Time and saves Money! Plus as the oven only reaches a maximum of60ºC it is safer and uses significantly less energy than the pyrolytic method.

Inspired by natureThe special ingredient that makes this Eco friendly cleaning solution practicaland possible is our revolutionary HydroClean enamel. The micro structure ofHydroClean enamel has been developed to simulate the make-up of the lotusplant leaf which is renowned for its self-cleaning properties, otherwise knownas the ‘lotus effect’. Water forms into droplets on the tips of the uniqueepidermal protrusions where it collects pollutants, dirt and insects as it rolls offthe leaf. Due to its intelligent structure HydroClean simply uses the same principle!

Compared to Pyrolysis systems HydroClean uses 98% less energy during thecycle and takes 86% less time. With the Pyrolysis method the typical heatingperiod can be as long as 2 hours whilst taking the oven to temperatures ofaround 480ºC, then the oven has to be left for upto 3 hours to cool down.Further to this with Pyrolysis the oven racks, grids and baking trays have to beremoved - with HydroClean this is not necessary, saving further time and effort.
