My name is Derek Horton and this is

my dream!

I live in Statesville, N.C.

At 149 Westview Lane

I spent most of my childhood growing and working on my grandparents’ farm in Ronda.

While in high school I was an active member in the FFA and spent three years taking Auto Tech learning how to work on cars in a shop and getting experience behind a parts counter.

I graduated West Iredell High School in June 2011 in the National Technical Honor Society.

At the end of the summer, I got a job here.

Where I started out doing this.

And am now running this.

I also volunteer at the local fire department.

Since August 2011, I have been enrolled at Wilkes Community College

Where I am studying to get my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Heavy Equipment and Transport Technology

I have worked on various types of diesel engines including Detroit, Volvo, Caterpillar, Cummins, & Powerstroke

I have also been trained to work on various types of heavy duty

transmissions

As well as air brakes

and suspension

systems

electrical diagnosis

and repair…..
