BESCHICHTUNGSVERFAHREN PLASMASPRITZEN
Prinzip des Plasmaspritzens
Zwischen der Anode und Kathode wird ein
Lichtbogen gezündet, der eine Temperatur
von ca. 3000 °C hat. Diese Temperatur
wird genutzt, um Plasmagasgemische aus
Argon, Stickstoff und Wasserstoff zu disso-
ziieren und zu ionisieren. Beim Austritt der
Gase aus der Anodendüse kommt es zur
Rekombination, wobei Temperaturen bis
15 000 Kelvin entstehen. In diesen heißen
Plasmastrahl werden die Spritzpulver einge-
blasen. Dabei werden die Pulverteilchen be-
schleunigt, aufgeschmolzen und haften
schließlich auf der definiert sauberen und
rauen Werkstückoberfläche.
Technologischer Prozess
Die zu beschichtenden Teile werden einer
Wareneingangskontrolle unterzogen, bei
der u. a. die geometrischen Maße erfasst
werden. Danach erfolgt die Probenvorbe-
reitung. Die zu beschichtenden Flächen
werden gestrahlt und gereinigt. Die Be-
schichtung erfolgt meist zweistufig. Zu-
nächst wird eine Haftvermittlungsschicht
aufgebracht, auf welche die eigentliche
Funktionsschicht gespritzt wird. Abschlie-
ßend erfolgt die Reinigung und Versiege-
lung der Funktionsschicht.

COATING BY PLASMA SPRAYING
Principle of plasma spraying
An arc is ignited between anode and cath-
ode. It has a temperature of approx.
3000°C. This temperature is used to disso-
ciate and ionize a plasma gas mixture of ar-
gon, nitrogen and hydrogen. At the exit of
the gases through the anode nozzle, there
are recombination reactions reaching tem-
peratures of 15,000 K. The coating powder
will be blown into this hot plasma beam.
The powder particles are accelerated,
melted and sticked to the defined and
rough workpiece surface.
Technological Process
The work pieces to be coated are checked
to verify the geometric dimensions and
other properties. This is followed by the
sample preparation. The surfaces to be
coated are blasted and cleaned. The coat-
ing is usually two-stage. First, an adhesive
layer is applied, on which the actual func-
tional layer is sprayed.
Finally, the cleaning and sealing of the
functional layer is done.
