Benue State Bio Fertlizers project
Creation of 100 jobs / Soil conservation and fight against desertification (see the UNCCD Land Degration Neutrality program) / Reduction of the Chemical Fertilizers envi-ronmental negative impact and development of organic farming.
A Municipal Waste Master Plan has been launched in 2016 in Makurdi (capital of the Benue state), that aims at optimizing recycling and recovery. Organic waste, in particular, will be collected at source and pretreated in a composting plant where ferments and bacterias will be added in order to reach the right composting level (soil fertility and agriculture yields increase). Ebafosa, the pan African Food security and climate resilience organisation will promote the project in 2 other Nigerian states
