Invitation to Gibson House

In 2011 Bents Green School was rebuilt un-

der the Building Schools for the Future Pro-

gramme . We have a very specialist building

designed specifically for the needs of pu-

pils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

We are very proud of the staff and students at

the school and residential provision within Gib-

son House. The creation of a Children’s Home

to ensure that Sheffield children can continue

to live in Sheffield despite the complexity of

meeting their needs is a unique and exciting

development for us.

We are looking for those individuals who are

not only inspirational but also inspired by the

young people whose lives are shaped by au-

tism. You will be a lead in shaping the direc-

tion in which together we create a home for

those young people who need the most innova-

tive and creative people to meet their needs.

There are 10 Specialist Schools in

Sheffield, providing for the full range

of Special Educational Needs, , offering

wither primary or secondary provision.

The schools work very closely togeth-

er to ensure a very high quality of pro-

vision across the City.

In addition we work very closely with

the local mainstream secondary

schools of Silverdale and High Storrs.
