Most commonly, individuals for Employment Services are referred through Vocational Rehabilitation.

ASI Employment and Training Specialists (ETS) work with individuals to identify job-related strengths and interests in order to place the person in a position where he/she can be successful. The ETS maintains good working relationships with many employers in the community to assist with job placements when they have a good match.

Once a person is placed in a job, the ETS continues to provide assistance to the consumer to make sure he/she has the right skills to be successful. The Employment and Training Specialist helps coordinate any needs between the employer and employee to make sure it will be a long-term placement.

Indiana Low Income Energy Assistance Program (765) 362-4096 Indiana's Energy Assistance Program provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility

services during the winter heating months. During cold weather months this program helps prevent utility companies from shutting off home heating service to low-income families. During hot summer months the Energy Assistance Program provides limited funds for the purchase of fans, distributed at a local level.

IWIN was created to assist women and their families undergoing breast cancer treatment. The IWIN foundation supports women in Indiana currently receiving treatment for breast cancer by securing and paying for individual services that relieve emotional, physical, and financial burdens.

To qualify for assistance, applicants must be undergoing treatment for breast cancer by currently receiving one or more of the following treatments: chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. These are one time awards. Services may include: childcare, housekeeping, yard maintenance, massage therapy, meals, yoga or exercise classes, transportation assistance (gas cards, bus passes, etc.), medication assistance.

• Home delivered meals – depending on your location; and hot noon meals or frozen meals through the senior centers;

• Home Health Services are designed to help people remain in their homes rather than enter a nursing home. These services are funded through Federal and State monies and require disability and financial assessments to determine eligibility.

NAMI West Central Indiana advocates for support, effective treatment and education for individuals and families directly and indirectly affected by mental illness in our community. NAMIWCI offers free support groups and classes for adults living with mental illness and for adult family members of those who have a mental illness. Educational presentations are available for youth, parents, school personnel, faith communities, businesses, and other groups. It is a safe, stigma-free gathering place where participants come to socialize and feel accepted. The goal is to eliminate isolation and loneliness.
