IS HELL REAL?

Is there really a physical location of burning torment and punishment that is spoken of in the

Bible? Only three in ten adults (31%) see hell as an actual location a place of physical torment

where people will be sent?

Someone said to me recently, I dont believe in God. When I replied, You know youll go to

hell. The person answered, Oh, I want to go to hell.

What a curious conversation. The person refused to believe in God but wanted to go to hell?

But it is at the heart of preaching that should be done today, give them the good news that Jesus

Christ is real and is the one pathway back to God; but at the same time, refusal of Gods love cansend their souls into hell.

Where did the idea of hell as a place of eternal punishment come from?

Jesus spoke of a place where the fire is not quenched, in Mark 9:43-48. Does the Bible reallyteach that evildoers would go to the place and be punished forever? Yes, Jesus also gave another

illustration of hell in Luke 16:23.

[In hell] The word here translated hell ("Hades") means literally a dark, obscure place; the place

where departed spirits go, but especially the place where"wicked" spirits go. See the notes at Job 10:21-22 Isa

14:9. The following circumstances are related of it in this

parable:

1. It is "far off" from the abodes of the righteous. Lazarus

was seen "afar off."

2. It is a place of torment.

3. There is a great gulf fixed between that and heaven,

Luke 16:26.

4. The suffering is great. It is represented by "torment" in

a flame, Luke 16:24.

5. There will be no escape from it, Luke 16:26.

The word "hell" here means, therefore, that dark, obscure,

and miserable place, far from heaven, where the wicked

have clear and plain teaching regarding the demons

themselves. Demons in vast numbers constitute a part of Satans hierarchy and fight in his army.

They are spiritual beings without bodies of their own, hence they seek embodiment; they havesupernatural power and strength. They are not omniscient, but are creatures of cunning intellect

and given to deceits and wiles. They are unclean, corrupt, and bent on destruction and ruin. They

degrade the bodies they invade and possess, whether of animals or men. They tremble at the

Word of God and have to bow to the authority of Jesus Christ whether exerted directly by Him or

by those to whom. He delegated the authority.

But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your

minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For it he that cometh

preacheth another Jesus, whom, we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit,

which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him, (2 (Cor. 11: 3-4).

Do not attend a Friendly Seeker Church where they do not teach about the pitfalls of sin. Your

eternal depends upon your receiving the truth. You must strive to live holy and dedicated to

John 8:34, -- Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is

the servant of sin.

The Holy Spirit will convict your heart. If you do not listen to the Word of conviction He will

send the prophets (ministers) to deliver you through the Word.

If you continue to indulge yourself in your hidden sins; spousal abuse, child abuse, self abuse;

verbal abuse, unforgiveness; bitterness; rioting; raging; argument; anger, judging, sexualperversions, pornography, etc.

Then judgment will fall in the form of curses on your finances; your job situation; etc. Thetormentors (evil spirits) will come to nest in your life, then religious spirits will prevail instead of

the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, . . . why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not

the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let thou hypocrite,

Paul wrote,Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that

preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit

adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

(Rom. 2:21-22).

Godly saints must have a genuine hatred for sin.

(Rom. 6:16), Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye

are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

If you are in sin, repent now! Ask Jesus to forgive you and

come live in your heart. Do this before it is too late.

Salvation is a free gift of God granted to lost and undeserving men who trust in the

righteousness of Christ and humble themselves in submission to his will.

Accept God's Word that He loves you and wants to give you an abundant life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only

begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not

perish, but have everlasting life,"(Jn. 3:16).

"I am come that they might have life and that they might

have it more abundantly," (Jn. 10:10).

Pray: Father. I am a sinner. I repent from every sin and ask

you to forgive me. I ask that Jesus become my personal

Savior, come and live in my heart. Help me to serve You

every day of my life; in Jesus name, amen.

We know that no one except God is absolutely perfect and

that real salvation is the first step in perfecting holiness.

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. Three times in the

Epistle (Eph. 1:22, 4:15, and 5:2), Christ is specificallynamed as Head of the Church. This headship is His by rank,

by power, and by love . . . His forever. Jesus, our

Redeemer, is the only one with the crown right to be head of

the Church.

We have the last will and testament of our Lord Jesus according to (Hebr. 9:16-22). The Bible is

recorded in Heaven, (Ps. 119:89). The Bible is recorded to reveal Jesus Christ, (Jn. 20:31). The

Bible was recorded to assure believers; (I Jn. 5:10-13). Every will must have an administrator.

The administrator must have wisdom; (Col. 2:3). The administrator must have power; (Matt.

28:18). The administrator must be present; (Matt. 28:20).

Jesus is the testator. It was signed by His faultless life, (Lk. 23:4). It was signed by His

suffering, (I Pet. 4:12,13). It was signed by His resurrection, (Rom. 4:15). Every Will requires a

witness, (Jn. 5:37,38). The Bible is a witness, (Jn. 16:12-15). A Will is no good while the

testator lives. Jesus became man in order to die, (Heb. 2:24). Jesus knew He had to die, (Lk.

9:30:31). Jesus death is the Bibles theme, (I Cor. 15:1, 3, 4). Wills require heirs. Paul tells us

we are heirs, (Col. 4:7). Peter tells us we are heirs, (I Pet. 1:4), James tells us we are heirs, (Jam.

2:5). A will describes the inheritance. We have a new nature, (II Pet. 1:4), a life of peace with

God, (Rom. 5:1); an inheritance in Heaven, (I Cor. 2:9).2
