This I command you: love one another” – John 15:16-17 Charlie Wetzel has been a California Police Officer for the last 26 years, the last 15 years of which he has been with the San Diego Police Department. He is currently a Detective for the department working the Night Investigations Unit at Northern Division. Charlie was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area along with his three brothers, two older and one younger. He will be celebrating his 25th year of Marriage in September and has two sons 23 and 20 years old. Charlie was baptized, confirmed and received the Eucharist in 2005 at the Easter Vigil at the Church of the Resurrection. He currently serves as a choir member, Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, Co-Chair of the pastoral council, RCIA team member, stewardship council member, money counter, Deputy Grand Knight for the Resurrection Knights of Columbus council and a Baptism preparation team member.
