Objectives of the Nursing Education Programming:

1. To prepare a professional and technically skilled nurse, competent to give a comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families and communities in sickness and health.

2. To prepare the student with guidance to take up leadership position in the teaching and the nursing practice in hospitals and community health agencies.

3. To provide the opportunities and experiences which would enable the student to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationship with professional and nonprofessional personnel.

4. To provide the student with knowledge and learning experience which would enable her as a nurse to function with increasing ability as an effective citizen and a representative of her profession.

5. To provide those experience and opportunities would enable and motivate the nurse to enlarge her capacity for her own professional growth and to contribute towards the improvement and growth of nursing.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. DRESS CODE:

According to guide by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC)

NURSING ADMISSION & SELECTION CRITERIA ADMISSION CRITERIA:

A. POST RN BSCN (POST REGISTERED B.SC. NURSING) (02 YEARS)

o 03 Year General Nursing Course (PNC Registration is mandatory) o For Female 01 year Midwifery Course (01 year clinical specially in lieu of Midwifery for Male)

o 02 Years post clinical experience (latter post specialty / midwifery). o Gender Ratio: According to PNC (50% Female & 50% Male).

B. BSN GENERIC (04 YEARS DEGREE PROGRAM)

o Qualification: F.Sc. Pre-Medical with 50% Marks. o Age: 17 to 25 years o Gender Ratio: According to PNC (90% Female & 10% Male).

All the applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

o Two Character Certificates from (i) Head of the last institute attended (ii) A responsible officer BPS-17 not related to the candidate.

o A letter for nomination from the employer (is required for the Government Servants) o Medical / Physical Fitness Certificate. o Entry Test shall be conducted for admission in the subjects of English, Science,

Mathematics, Nursing Concepts and Computer Science.

PROCEDURE / POLICY / RULES FOR ADMISSION:

o Application forms can be obtained from BINACHS @ SMBBMU Larkana. o Application forms along with required documents should be submitted before or on the

closing date. o All candidates have to appear and attempt the Entrance Test and must bring all original

documents at the time of interview. o Admission Committee will review all application forms and compare them with the

criteria laid down for the admission. o The APPLICATION FORMS can be obtained through Bank challan of Rs. 500/-

(Rupees: Five hundred Only) to be credited in the BINACHS Account Number …………………………………….. at ……………… Bank limited Branch Larkana.

o The Admission Committee shall have the discretion to cancel the admission of any candidate who indulges in violence, uses abusive language, and misbehaves with admission committee member.

o All admissions are provisional, subject to verification of the original documents submitted by the candidate. If, at any stage it is proved that the candidate has been admitted on the basis of FALSE OR INCORRECT document(s), his/her admission will be cancelled and University authorities reserve the right to take legal action against that candidate.

o The Admission Committee will select candidates for each discipline, fulfilling the criteria further 3-5 candidates will be selected and placed on the waiting list.

o Government candidates will be selected on merit basis and nomination from the Government.

o Dress code : According to guide by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) o Library rules : According to policy of SMMBB medical university o Hostel Rules : See hostel booklet o Students have to attend 100% of the total clinical experience hours and 75% of the

theoretical hours in academic session. If student fails to attend, He / She can be asked to repeat the course in next Semester.

o Course / Subjects: see curriculum present on website of Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) website

o There will be fees of Rs.1000/= if the student loses this identity card. o The Institute identity card must be returned at the time of reliving from the Institute

WITHDRAWL / DISMISSAL: The Competent Authority to remove or dismiss the student from training on recommendation of Disciplinary Committee. The Coordinator & Faculty Members have the privilege of recommending the withdrawal or dismissal of any student for the following reasons. o Class attendance less than 75% o Clinical attendance less than 100% o Any conduct which is judged unsatisfactory, illegal or immoral. o Failure to meet the Academic Standards of the College due to Academic failure. o Extended leave due to pregnancy or ill health. o Failure to abide by the Rules & Regulations of the Institute and Hostel.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATE: 1. If there is any change regarding ENTRY TEST, venue or timing, it will be mentioned on

BINACHS Notice Board / Website.

2. Carefully read instructions for attempting test paper, otherwise computer will not read your

answer.

3. Candidate must bring Admit Card for the test, on the date, time and venue given overleaf.

4. Candidate will not be allowed to appear in the test without admit card.

5. No Identification other than Admit card will be acceptable.

6. Impersonation for the Entry test will be considered as a criminal act and will be dealt with

seriously.

7. Candidate is required to reach the venue at least one hour before the test.

8. Any material or electronic device / mobile phone /calculator etc, will not be allowed, under

any circumstance.

9. If any student is found, using unfair means or cheating he/she will be debarred from the test

and admission.
