Mrs. Karen Atten graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.A. degree in Art Education and currently serves as the Lower School Art Teacher at Ben Lippen. Previously, she taught art in upstate New York for fifteen years while helping create scenery for

school and local productions. Since transitioning to Ben Lippen in 2014, Mrs. Atten and her husband have constructed and designed set pieces for multiple shows.

Mr. Taylor Nelson earned his M.M. degree in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and currently serves as the Director of Fine Arts & Upper School Choir Teacher at Ben Lippen. He is passionate about using the arts not only to bring

glory to God, but also to help students understand their role as creators reflecting the ultimate Creator. Mr. Nelson has served as the Director, Music Director, or Choreographer for multiple productions across the elementary, middle, and high school levels. His favorite directing credits include The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Tarzan, Little Women, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Mr. Brandon YoderDirectorYears at Ben Lippen School: 1

Mr. Brandon Yoder graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a B.S. degree in Theatre Arts and currently serves as the Upper School Theater Teacher at Ben Lippen School. He has worked on many productions both on and off-stage academically and as a

professional within Central Virginia. Some of his favorite credits include Newsies, The Diary of Anne Frank, Bright Star, and Parade. He hopes that this show servesas a reminder to always place our trust in Christ as we navigate whatever challenges life may throw our way.
