Belmont United Methodist Church NEWS for May 17, 2020 Belmont UMC members Dave and Mary Kay Walton are looking for a live-in caregiver/companion for their son, Ziggy. Ziggy lives in a bungalow on North Wilson Boulevard in Nashville. The companion would live in the upstairs 500 sq. ft. apartment, and responsibilities would include keeping up with medications, helping to manage diabetes, cooking some meals, light housekeeping, occasional outings on week-ends, and hiking and walking. If you’re interested, please contact Mary Kay Walton (615- 481-5780 or [email protected]). Thirty years ago, long-time Belmonter Emma Bowman passed away and made an ex- traordinary gift that has ben- efited several dozen young people over the years. Mrs. Bowman bequeathed a schol- arship fund from the proceeds of the sale of her Green Hills home. This year, once again, applicants from Belmont UMC can apply for the scholarship, thanks to the Bowmans’ gen- erosity. The 2020 deadline to apply for the scholarship is June 15, Christian sympathy is extended to Jill, Ward, and Kayleigh Quast, Lau- ren and T.J. Burk, Caroline and Ron Harris in the death of their father and grandfather, Tillman Harris.
