several good and several horrible emperors.• In 96 A.D. Rome entered the age of the 5 “Good

Emperors”– Hadrian – Expanded the empire through England

and protected the rights of women, children and slaves

– Marcus Aurelius was the last “good emperor” his son Commodus ruled with brutality and started the downfall of the Roman Empire
