The valve opens and closes based upon the voltages applied to the actuator. Use the Bell & Gossett Snap Zone Valves to speed installation time and reduce callback times to customers. The actuator can be installed or removed at any angle on the adapter ring. The compact design and universality in the actuator mounting position allows for easy installation in the most difficult positions. Operating Data: ■ Working temperature range: 32 to 212 F ■ Maximum Working Pressure: 240 psi ■ Maximum pressure differential close-off: 60 psi ■ Glycol compatibility: 50/50 mixture ■ Shutoff and opening speed: 3 minutes ■ Electrical rating: 24 volts; End Switch: 1.0A @ 24VAC Features: ■ Soft-close technology to suppress water hammer ■ Silent actuator operation and Visual Indicator ■ One-handed and 360° actuator installation ■ Valve in-pipe serviceable: internal components can be ■ removed without having to remove unit from the system. Comfort-Trol 24-Volt Zone Control Valves
Control the water temperature in your hot water heating or chilled water zones with this compact, silent-operating, heat motor actuated zone control valve. The 24 volt, 50/60 hertz, 3-wire Comfort-Trol zone valve is used for either continuous or intermittent cycling operation of your system’s pump.
The valve design permits easy replacement of the seal gland without isolating the valve or draining the system. Replacement of the heat motor and power-pill generally mean years of additional usage.

■THERMOSTAT Requirements: 24 volt systems. 24-volt, two-wire with a 0.6 ampere heat anticipator setting. The heat anticipatorsetting must match the 0.6 amp rating of the power-pill heater.
■TRANSFORMER: 24-volt systems. 115/24 volt rated at 40 VA fora maximum of three Comfort-Trol zone valves per transformer.
■DESIGN LIMITS: Maximum working pressure to 125 psig. Fluidtemperature range from 40° F to 240° F. Maximum ambient(surrounding air) temperature to 125° F. Maximum differentialpressure (difference between the pressure on the valve inlet versusoutlet): 35 psig.
■ LOCATION: The Comfort-Trol valve can be installed either hori-zontally or vertically. Precautions: When installing the valve in avertical position, the electrical connections should be at the top ofthe operator. On chilled water applications the operation should beabove the pipe centerline. If the valves are installed near the boiler,keep them away from any direct boiler or piping heat.
