Belcher Bulletin 2015
Holiday Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year Quincy (aka Q): Q particularly enjoyed going to Disney World/Universal Studios this
year. Nancy was delighted that her youngest loves rollercoasters as much as she does! Q
was also happy to finally play in Hoopfest. Q is a 9 year old 3rd grader who adores the
Seattle Seahawks, playing on his local basketball team and looks forward to Tuesday
nights when he can watch ‘The Flash’ (TV show). Q keeps busy with reading, playing
the steel pan/drum and with sports that include football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.
Luke: Luke graduated from ASB 8th grade and was delighted
to receive the student athlete award. Luke changed-up the
Belcher Bishop Blanchet HS tradition and is attending
Lakeside High School. So far Lakeside is a great fit. Luke
enjoys his new classes, teachers, and teammates. Luke played
Lakeside football and is now on the basketball team. Luke
attended Lakeside’s formal dance last weekend with a large
group of his new friends. Like Q, Luke plays steel pan and is
playing percussion in the school orchestra.
Oliver: Ollie graduated from Blanchet High School and
started college at UW – Bothell, majoring in business. A
natural salesman, Ollie enjoys helping customers at ‘Champs
Sports’ on the weekends. Oliver is also a ‘pledge’ at the Beta
fraternity on the UW Main Campus. Having grown-up in
basically a ‘fraternity’, Ollie finds the transition from home to
the freshman sleeping porch seamless. While saying ‘goodbye’
to his large, close group of high school buddies was difficult,
Ollie is enjoying his fraternity ‘brothers’.
Reed: Reed is a senior Psychology major at the UW, and is
looking forward to graduating soon. He is also enjoying his final year of living in the Chi Psi
house with his fraternity brothers. This summer Reed worked full time at Dunn Lumber and
continues to work there part-time. Reed enjoyed using his hard earned savings to purchase the
parts necessary to build his own computer and, like his brothers, plays a lot of basketball.
Always supportive and caring brother, Reed tries to attend his brother’s events and even tries to
get home on Tuesday nights to watch ‘The Flash’ with Q.
Spencer: Spence is working full-time as an electrical
engineer at Mackie in Woodinville. While his work day
is spent surrounded by music, he greatly enjoys working
on his own music production and is excited to continue
releasing/ performing as ‘David Spencer’. Spencer lives
with a group of his Chi Psi fraternity brothers, and
enjoys staying active via soccer, CrossFit, practicing
yoga, snowboarding and most-recently kiteboarding
with Chris. They are now committed to getting the other
Belchers up to speed on the boards.
Chris: Chris has moved away from Ironman training and into kite boarding. He and
Spencer took a trip together to La Ventana, Baja and fell in love with kite boarding. The
whole family will be traveling there soon and Chris hopes to get the whole family
addicted to his new passion. Chris continues to greatly enjoy working with his partners
and patients at Swedish Hospital- Greenlake Clinic and works Ski Patrol at Crystal
Mountain.

Nancy: While Nancy enjoyed working at Fred Hutch, she decided to return
to her own business consulting business. Nancy is delighted by the freedom
that it provides and the variety of business ventures that she is working on.
While Nancy’s ankle issues prevent her from running (!), she found an
alternative exercise regime – Pure Barre. Nancy also enjoyed Disney World as
much as the boys, sleeping in until 7 a.m., and taking her mom, Mimi, on
some Seattle outings including the ‘Great Wheel’.
Vacations: The family enjoyed a number of vacations beyond skiing this
year including white river rafting and Disney World /Universal Studios.
Four Belcher boys had teams compete in Spokane’s Hoopfest this year!

The Belchers are extremely grateful that
they live close enough to one another that
they can enjoy easy Sunday dinners,
shared athletic pursuits and events, and
that they are all healthy and happy. They
know that the best presents that they can
give are great times spent together.
Here’s to a very healthy and peaceful New
Year packed with joyful experiences.
