• People often confuse MISSION and PURPOSE…thus the enterprise itself starts to become a Confused Entity.

Symptoms of Confusion…

• In a Confused Entity a common question amongst staff is:

“Just exactly WHY are we doing things this way?”


• In a Confused Entity a lot of the “Making It Real” Activities don’t make any sense, but they are carried out anyway.


• In a Confused Entity it is very common for time, money and other resources to be wasted.


• Because in a Confused Entity a lot of those “Making It Real” Activities are out of alignment with the NOBLE PURPOSE of the enterprise.
