Monday 8th June

Design your own baddie! Evil Pea is the bad guy in the Supertato story! In Tales Toolkit, he is the PROBLEM!

Today, we want you to design your own bad guy! It does not have to be a pea BUT they do need to be mean and naughty! Draw your bad character and write a sentence to describe them! Remember to use your sound mat! Draw your character big: you need to cut it out and save it for a Tales Toolkit story tomorrow!

One more/One less: Starter: sing along to the Count to 20 song to warm your Maths brain up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VLxWIHRD4E Activity: You will need: -Prison bars sheet from Friday (they are also printed below or you can draw your own) -Up to 20 small toys or objects 1. Tell your child to put 5 toys in prison! Now tell them to put ONE MORE in jail. One more means we add one extra toy. Now count them and see if the number of toys in jail has got bigger or smaller than 5. 2. Start again with 5 toys in jail. Now tell them that one toy can leave prison. Tell them to find ONE LESS. One less means we take away a toy. Get your child to count them and see if the number of toys in jail has got bigger or smaller than 5. 3. Now repeat the activity but this time starting with a different number of toys in prison: 3, 7, 9, 12, 15, 18

If you were a superhero who would you be? Think about supertato and your favourite superheroes, discuss with an adult who is your favourite and why. Thinking about your favourite superhero costumes and powers first design your superhero outfit using the template below – see the ART & DESIGN BOX

Art & Design: See the template below, create your own superhero outfit, it could be a combination of Spiderman and Batman or Captain America and Superwoman. Think carefully about the colours you use and the features that your costume has, can it spin webs, do you have laser goggles?
