Directions For Use

Each pound of this product contains 0.75 g of monensin.

For improved feed efficiency in confined cattle, estimate average daily intake of air dry feed (90% dry matter) prior to mixing and feeding so that the specified feed additive levels are consumed. Thoroughly mix 1 to 2% of this product with non-medicated feed to provide 15 to 30 grams of monensin per ton of finished feed as follows:

Monensin Complete intake % pellet g/ton of air dry feed (lb/hd/dy) min. max. 2 30 12.5 24.0 1.75 26 14.3 27.4 1.5 23 16.7 32.0 1.25 19 20.0 38.4 1 15 25.0 48.0

Feed mixed ration continuously so that each animal consumes not less than 50 mg monensin (0.067 lb) nor more than 360 mg monensin (0.48 lb) head/day. Monensin should not be mixed in the complete feed to provide a concentration greater than 30 g/ton (air dry).

For increased rate of weight gain in pastured, slaughter, stocker and feeder cattle, and dairy and beef replacement heifers, mix this product with non-medicated feed to provide 25 to 400 grams of monensin per ton of finished feed (air dry basis) as follows:

Monensin Complete intake % pellet g/ton of air dry feed (lb/hd/dy) min. max. 26.67 400 1.0 1.0 20.00 300 1.0 1.3 10.00 150 1.0 2.7 5.00 75 1.3 5.3 3.30 50 2.0 8.0 1.65 25 4.0 16.0

Feed mixed ration continuously so that each animal consumes not less than 50 mg monensin (0.067 lb of SuperMix) nor more than 200 mg monensin (0.267 lg of SuperMix) per head per day in not less than 1 lb of feed. For alternate day feeding, after the fifth day of 100 mg monensin (0.53 lb of R1500) per head per day every other day in not less than 2 lb of feed. During the first 5 days of feeding, cattle should receive no more than 100 mg monensin per day.

For the prevention and control of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zuernii, feed this product to con-fined cattle to provide 0.14 to 0.42 mg monensin per lb of bodyweight depending upon the severity of the challenge up to a maximum of 360 mg monesin (0.48 lb R1500) per head daily. For pasture cattle (slaughter, stocker and feeder, dairy and beef replacement heifers) and mature reproducing beef cows, mix this product with other feed to provide 0.14 to 0.42 mg monensin per lb of bodyweight depending upon the severity of the challenge up to a maximum of 200 mg monensin per head daily (0.267 lb) 20 g monensin per ton of finished feed. For calves (excluding veal calves) feed this product mixed with other feed to pro-vide 0.14 to 1.0 mg per lb bodyweight depending upon the challenge up to a maximum of 200 mg monensin (0.267 lb of R1500) per head per day in not less than 1 lb of feed.

For goats: Mix this product at 26.7 lb per ton of non-medicated feed to provide 20 g monensin per ton of finished feed. Feed this complete feed continuously as the sole ration.

CAUTION: Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing monensin. Inges-tion of monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin medicated cattle feed is safe for use in cattle only. Do not feed to lactating dairy cows or lactating goats. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not exceed the levels of monensin recommended in the feeding direc-tions, as reduced average daily gains may result. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentratoins of monensin coudl be fatal to cattle and coulg be fatal in goats; must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use; do not feed undiluted.

WARNING: A withdrawal period has not been established for pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in

Feed at the rate of 1 lb/head/day to supply 0.5 mg melengestrol acetate. May be fed top dressed on grain or silage, or mixed with a complete ration. Each pound of this product contains 0.5 mg melengestrol acetate.

IMPORTANT: Only for use in heifers being fed for slaughter. Not effective in spayed heifers or steers.

CAUTION: Heifers intended for reproduction: do not exceed 24 days of feeding. A reduced conception rate can be expected if heifers are bred at estruses observed within 1 to 12 days after withdrawal of melengestrol ac-etate, whereas heifers bred at subsequent observed estrus are expected to have normal conception rates.

Prevent the possibility that heifers may come into estrus (heat) at loading time. Not effective in steers and spayed heifers. Withdrawal periods of 3 to 5 days should be avoided too.

Grower Complete B30 is a complete feed combining roughage, grain, and supplement. It is intended for feedlot lambs from approximately 50 to 80 pounds of bodyweight.

Grower Complete B30 contains 30 g/ton (15 mg per pound) of lasalocid. Feed continuously at a rate of 1 to 4.66 lbs to provide 15 to 70 milligrams of lasalocid per head daily depending on bodyweight.

Lambs should be gradually adjusted to Grower Complete B30 inorder to reduce the risk of overeating and other digestive disturbances. Grower Complete B30 Medicated can be self-fed to lambs if they are properly adjusted to the ration.

In an effort to minimize management problems, lambs may be offered approximately 10% good quality long hay. If hay is fed, all lambs should have equal access so that the total ration com-position (proportion of Grower Complete B30 to hay) is consistent every day.

CAUTION: The safety of lasalocid in unapproved species has not been established.
