  1. 1. Improved language skills enabled Pema get a job Pema Dolkar had to discontinue school at 8th grade to care for her ailing father who succumbed to his illness. Pema was married off when she was 20years old. Despite the hard work of both husband and wife they could not continue their hotel and shop. When she came to know about HSYWE language program she decided to enrol. After two years in the language program she improved her skill in Tibetan and English significantly and increased her level of self confidence. Today she is a proud and hard working staff at Hotel Tibet International in Nepal. "I am confident I can speak English now. My language ability has been rewarding.
  2. 2. Vocational Scholarship developed an entrepreneur Tenzing Nordon was raise by a single mother with five children. With a dream to complete a training in hotel management but faced with financial difficulties, Nordon enroled in a Hotel Catering and Hospitality course for Women. However, she was unable to continue due to lack of resources. Through SV-BECSE scholarship program, Nordon successfully completed her Diploma in Hotel Catering and Hospitality . She is now the Guest Relations Officer in a reputable hotel in Nepal where she is gaining experience and exposure to the tourism and hospitality business. She is a young financially independent woman today. If everything goes well, I have a dream of having a restaurant with all Tibetan cuisine and authentic Tibetan tradition."
  3. 3. Youlo and his wife were unable to enroll their daughter, Namgyal Wangmo, to a nursing course. Their shop outside the primary school in one of the Tibetan settlements was hardly sustaining their livelihood. Namgyal, with the help of HSYWE scholarship, completed General Nursing & Midwifery Course in 2011. She is now working in Indias foremost leading Fortis Hospital in the Neuro Department .   4. 4. Scholarship helped remote boy become a Deputy Director Sherap Therchin a rural and poor boy completed school education. He applied for financial support and got scholarship from HSYWE to pursue MBA degree in India. After successful completion of his MBA degree, Sherap worked with HSYWE about 2 years. Today he is the Deputy Director at the Tibet Fund in Dharamsala, India. Whatever I earned now is a result of the scholarship I enjoyed
