First call or email the registration couple listed on the back of this brochure to assure space on the weekend you prefer. Then, fill out the application in this brochure or on the web at http://eecentralwa.org. Write your check or money order for $295 payable to Catholic Engaged Encounter. Mail your application and fee to the address on the back. Registration deadline is 14 days prior to the scheduled weekend. We are often booked well ahead, and space is limited, so please register early. To assure your space on the weekend, your full fee must be enclosed with your application. What If We Need to Reschedule or Cancel? Rescheduling Cancelling If you can’t make your scheduled weekend, we encourage you to reschedule. There is no additional cost if you reschedule at least 8 days prior to your weekend. Otherwise, there is a $75 fee. If you cancel at least eight days before your scheduled weekend, you will receive a refund minus a $75 cancellation fee. What is The Focus of
This Weekend?
We want to help you make your marriage a covenant and all it can be. To do so, Engaged Encounter helps you focus on the phases of relationship, lifelong communication skills, and concepts that will help you enrich your marriage. For the greatest benefit, you should plan to attend an Encounter week several months before your wedding. But any time you come, it will be of great value for your coming marriage.
To reap the maximum benefit of the program and to receive a certifi-cate of completion, you and your fiance must both be present for the entire weekend.
Do I have to Be
Catholic To Attend?
No. Persons of any faith are
welcome. As a matter of
fact, on every weekend
many people who attend are
not Catholic. We are
sensitive to those who have
other beliefs.
During the weekend, two
couples and a religious
(priest or sister) present the
Catholic perspective on
marriage which includes
relevant doctrines such as
the Sacraments.
When and Where is the Encounter Held?
The Central Washington Catholic Engaged Encounter
weekends are held at Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center
in Ellensburg, WA. Directions and further instructions
will be sent to you when you register. The Encounter
begins promptly at 7:30 PM Friday night so plan to
arrive no later than 7:00 PM. Weekends end around
3:00 PM Sunday.
