Hear Westminster’s own, Kris DeWild, as she showcases our glorious Dobson organ with a performance featuring music from the Baroque era to the present. The concert will also feature Kris
on harp in collaboration with Dr. Cynthia Krenzel from Central College (clarinet) and Mackenzie Uhlenhopp from the University of Iowa (flute and voice). Kris is Lecturer in Music at Central College where she accompanies the A Cappella Choir and teaches piano and harp. She holds a B.A. in organ performance and music education from Central College and earned a graduate certificate in church music from Drake University where she studied organ with Carl Staplin and Ruth Harris.

Jazz SundaySunday, April 8, 10amWestminster SanctuaryThe popular Jazz Sunday returns to Westminster with a swinging program complementing our worship service. Led by Westminster’s own, Karla Killinger, the program will feature the skills of local professionals and Westminster members, and will showcase the music of the big band era. Jazz Sunday will surely have you toe-tapping during and after the service!
Join us as we witness the promise of the resurrection together. We joyfully proclaim the good news that is at the very heart of the Gospel: that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. Our Worship will be led by the Westminster Chorale, Brass, and Organ. Easter is a time of celebration, reflection, and renewal. It’s a time when we can appreciate the beauty and potential of fresh starts and new beginnings.
