SEEKING ALLAH, FINDING JESUS: A DEVOUT MUSLIM ENCOUNTERS CHRISTIANITY

by Nabeel Qureshi

In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way.

Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi struggled with an inner turmoil that will challenge Christians, Muslims, and all those who are interested in the world’s greatest religions.

Engaging and thought-provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart—and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.

ANNA OGDEN HALL / CRISIS SHELTER NEEDS

Right now Anna Ogden Hall has an emergency need in their Children's ministry.. One reason for this is because many of their volunteers (especially college students) leave for the summer. During summer months, they have the kids the whole day so they try to fill their day with activities, field trips, etc. They thrive on the love, support, and encouragement volunteers give them. Here are the current openings. Several are needed in each slot:

Mon - Thurs 8:30 – 11:30 or 12:45-4:00 OR one may serve entire day.

Childcare and activity supervision for either infants through age 4 or 8-13 year olds. Activities may include water activities, painting, baking, field trips (older children only), and lots of fun!! Volunteers welcome to choose one or more time slots each week; flexible with vacation schedules. Greatest current needs:

Monday morning and afternoon- both age groups

Tuesday afternoon- younger age group

Wednesday morning- both age groups, and afternoon- older age group

Thursday afternoon- younger age group.

If you are interested in any of these positions just respond to the email below and they will connect you with the staff you will be serving with.

If you are interested but have not attended a volunteer orientation yet, that will be your next step. The next one is June 12th, Tues, 6-8pm at the Union Gospel Mission. You can register also by using the email below.

ADAM & AMY RAPELJE

(Northview Supported Missionaries)

Over all our years of staffing a summer mission, this one is by far the most unique both in terms of ministry & housing. We will be staying at a functioning Bison Ranch just outside of Browning. It

is a remarkable place but it isn’t set up t house staff families. The attending students will stay in wall tents while the staff are responsible for providing their own housing. Last summer, we had some very generous friends loan us their camper for our trip. That camper will not be available this summer, so as of now we are going to use our old pop-up trailer. It’s not ideal for all 5 of us for that length of time. We have camping tents, but because the ranch is located on the plains, the winds are too strong.

We hesitate asking because we know summer is when everyone is hitting the open road & camping as they gol But we thought it might be worth the asking to see if any of our friends would have a camper trailer we might be able to borrow or possibly sell to us? The dates would be approximately June 25 - August 6. If this is at all a possibility, would you please call Adam at 406-529-0462. Thank you!
