Have you ever wondered why some people easily come up with

initiatives and perhaps,… you don't?

Ever wondered why or how the people of the West like America and

Canada, created mind boggling inventions like the airplane and

continuously innovated until they succeeded in transforming it into a space

shuttle, putting a mere mortal on the moon with no oxygen to breathe?

Have you ever wondered how so easily new innovations and inventions in

business and technology are produced on a daily basis by the Germans or

the Chinese and we seem somehow slow to do the same?

Have you ever wondered how young people, even teenagers in places like

America invent dazzling resources, products and gadgets and all we mostly

do is buy into them?

Before you begin to wonder too long and hard, remember that the universe

was created out of nothing but an idea in the subconscious of one we

call………..God.

He started with an idea of the possibility of beauty and everything good

around him.

He brooded for a long while over what he had conceived and He planned

on how he was going to achieve it.

We see the story of creation saying, “In the beginning, God created the

heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form and void, and darkness covered the face of

the deep…”

The word VOID shows emptiness and nothingness……..

Commingled with this emptiness was thick, deep darkness;

….. darkness that could be felt and touched.

So,…. how do we create wealth from nothing, when there is no money or

resources,…..when we know no one and don't have friends or family in high

places,….when we have limited skill-set to achieve what we want to achieve,

….when we have no university degree to make a way for us in the corporate

world or even if it is available, nothing can really be saved from our monthly

income,….even when we try to save something, the amount is infinitesimal in

comparison to our great dreams?

The answer is BE LIKE GOD.

He created all we see by a constant thought process, out of nothing and from

nowhere.

But first, he had an idea and turned it into a dream.

Having a dream transports you out of the frustrations of the present into the

possibilities of the future.

Having a dream gives you a great reason to wake up every day because if you

do not have one you are pursuing, sleeping becomes very interesting and

challenges seem so insurmountable when they come because there is no hope,

no dream…just darkness and emptiness….so get a dream, create an idea…

You need not ask, “How do I start?”

I am here to show you how.

Some people have created ideas already and are working on it right now but

they are encountering obstacles making many people mock them and scorn

their efforts.

It may take time; people may mock you, spite you and laugh at you but just

…………….BE LIKE GOD.

You may ask, “How can I become like God?”

To be like God, we need to act like God and understand what he did in the

circumstances in which he found himself,….like in the many challenging

circumstances we also find ourselves, as individuals and would-be business

people….

But first of all, we must understand the power deposited within us. As

humans, we are empowered to be just like God.

We were created as spirit beings, living in a body and possessing a soul and

this soul holds the great forces of our mind, our will and our emotions.

God breathe the same creative spirit that moved upon the face of the waters

into you and the Bible says man became a living soul. Only very few men

come anywhere close to exhausting the resources dwelling within them…that

have been deposited by God.

There are deep wells of strength in all of us that have never been used.

Wealth… therefore can only be created through deep thought processes,

meditation, prayer, planning and particularly, the will to achieve what you

have conceived.

What you conceive is simply your idea, multiplied by an effort driven value –

your effort here, comprises of your energy and a consistent push of your idea

in form of product to as many people as possible.

A consistent persistence in this attitude and way of life will bring about a

definite winning streak, creating wealth for you beyond your wildest

imaginations.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS A TOOL FOR CREATING WEALTH FROM NOTHING

People living in this part of the world often consider it a challenge to become

financially successful because of the peculiarity of our socio- economic environment.

But then, looking from the other side, you will realize our socio-economic problems

are actually the opportunities we need to make it. All we need is to convert

opportunities into value – adding ideas. There and then, will the journey of

entrepreneurship begin!

In the words of Albert Einstein, “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to

become a man of value.” When you create value that satisfy someone's needs or

desires and the person is willing to pay for such value over and over again, you are on

your way to becoming an entrepreneur and creating wealth.

Entrepreneurship is simply defined as a system or process that creates value which

solves problems.

I will define the keywords to broaden your perspective on entrepreneurship.

· Create – this is imagination in bringing something new into existence

· Value – it is something of importance that fulfills desires or provides a need

· Solve – It is the process involved in making something easier or providing a

need

· Problem – It is a situation that demands solution

· System/Process – It is an organized dynamic pattern or structure

Simply solve a problem.

God created you to solve a problem. Why did you buy a car? It solved a transportation

problem. Why do you watch the news each evening on television? It solves an

information problem.

Why did God create you? He created you to solve human problems.

• Mechanics solve car problems

• Dentists solve tooth problem

• Lawyers solve legal problems

• Mothers solve emotional problems

• Accountants solve tax problems

• Ministers solve human problems

God is the solution to mankind and you are like God. Four simple words lie

behind every successful product, service or personal incentive and they are

'building a better world'.

God's sole aim was for beauty, peace, fruitfulness and the sheer betterment of

all of humanity.

Therefore, you are created to be a solution to somebody… You just have to ask;

who is that person? Where is that person? What does that person need? How

do I create and deliver what that person needs? And multiply what you have to

offer by how many people you want to reach and how far you want to go, this

equates to WEALTH.

How Then Do We Create Wealth From Nothing?

The answer………………………………Have – an – idea.

Your idea is what fuels entrepreneurship and it begins with creating the Idea,

converting the idea to a value adding business and making the business

generate the wealth.

The first process is CREATING THE IDEA and you can create ideas from a lot

of circumstances.

Many people complain to me about their inability to generate sound,

productive ideas and I help them…..

But in reality, there are no shortages of ideas and opportunities but there is a

shortage of people who can identify them…………

People with a seventh sense combined with the courage and vision to do

something about it. While some others have embarked on certain ideas and

lost money or gained many negative experiences,

Some others have money and resources but no viable idea to invest in….why?

Are their minds dead? I don't think so… but they need to learn how to be,

think and create…like God.

Well…….where there is life there is hope. So… stop crying and wipe your tears. Learn

the lessons and discard the details. You certainly can't produce better ideas when you

are bitter about past failures.

Remember……….yesterday's failure is in the tomb – so bury it but tomorrow's

success is in the womb – so nurture it. We all need to get out of the pains of yesterday

and step into the gains of tomorrow. Nobody goes forward looking backward and

your best days are before you not behind.

Your prophecy is more powerful than your history. So once again………take a chance

at your future and forget your failures. Some of these circumstances we must be open

to include the following;

• Experiences and opportunities

Your experiences are pointers to what you can create or ideas you can chose

to develop. We have seen many people travelling overseas and return with

almost similar brands with what they saw there.

Your pain, rebellion and disgust of a particular situation can be a pointer to

an idea you can begin to work on right now. For example, Otunba Ghadaffi,

the Shit Merchant saw the need for outdoor toilet facilities which was

lacking at large gatherings and his answer to that need was the DMT while

the young business man Owoeye Azazi noticed that this same idea could be

better enhanced to cater for VIP needs at large gatherings and imported a

first-class air-conditioned outdoor toilet service which he spotted abroad,

creating Posh Potties toilet services. Ideas are everywhere, what are your

experiences and opportunities? Your next idea could come from there.

• Fun time and Adventures

What you love to do during your leisure can be the beginning of a lifelong

business. It could be anything from dancing, writing, cooking to exercising

and healthy living. It is all around you, all you need do is make a business of

your pleasure time. Almost all Nigerians that own night clubs have one thing

in common – they love night life. So are you shocked at their business

choices? They would rather work at night and sleep during the day.

Weird, to you maybe,… but not to them.

• Critical Thinking and creative thinking

Your creativity can generate an idea of a lifetime, so how creative are you?

Your critical and creative thinking may allow you come up with a product

people don't even know they need until they see it. This happened in

succession in recent times with Apple incorporated's I-products. It happens

every year in the fashion industry and you can also make it happen for you.

• Needs

You can come up with ideas because of a personal need or one you think needs to

be met. For example, Larry Izamoje the founder of Brilla fm, saw the need for a

'sports only' radio station, starting off in his house. He has developed the most

focused media house in Nigeria today. Also, the Murray Bruce clan saw the need to

revamp the cinema culture which once thrived in the 70s. The Silverbird Galleria

was a total sellout when it was launched because people needed to satisfy their

cravings for American styled outdoor entertainment.

• Problems: There are political, social, spiritual, economic, financial problems etc.

Linus Okorie created Guardians of The Nation International, GOTNI to satisfy a

need for a less corrupt and oppressive political system. Ndidi Nwuneli saw a social

porousity in Nigeria's leadership and accountability and created LEAP Africa to

cater for these by influencing the youth through positive program delivery system.

The hustler selling CDs on a mobile truck believes he would make more money if

he moves around more while our financial need is helping us explore many

possibilities to attaining wealth. So what is your need?

• Conversations

During simple or stimulating conversations, ideas can pop into our heads

concerning things we ought to do but most times, we put it off. Become more

attentive to your conversations and those of others and watch the ideas you can pull

out from them.

• Talent

Your talent is an easy way to launch yourself into an entrepreneurial journey as we

can see it working and gradually growing in the Nigeria today with artistes, actors,

actresses, dancers, photographers, make-up artistes, comedians etc thriving by

pursuing their talents.

• Challenges

Your challenges can push you so hard to the wall that you are willing to look for

profitable ideas until you find one.

The second process is CONVERTING THE IDEA TO A VALUE ADDING BUSINESS

• Convert the idea created to a product or service that fits a researched market

• Create a business plan for the idea

• Attach a measurable monetary value to product or service

• Market the product or service to a target market

For any idea to succeed you must involve People as supporters, partners, customers,

workers, advisers, investors, bankers and more. Great business people know that acquiring

and keeping people is a leader's most important task. A business cannot increase its

productivity but people can. The asset that truly appreciates within an organization is

people.

The growth potential of your idea is directly related to the potential and strength of its

supporters, partners, customers, workers, advisers, investors and bankers. A company

cannot grow without until people grow within.

The third process is CONVERTING THE IDEA TO A VALUE ADDING BUSINESS by

driving the business with strategic skills such as:

• Prayer

Separation makes for mental resourcefulness, fertility and prowess. So set

yourself apart from the crowd.

• Plan and set goals

A plan is nothing; planning is everything. Planning is the arrangement of facts to

achieve your set objectives and before you start a business, strategic planning is

first required. Remember that every well-built house started with a definite plan

in the form of blueprints and one good idea with an organized plan can jettison

anyone into financial success. So begin to plan on how to make your idea a success

but a genuine planner, plans within available resources.

• Vision

A vision is a glimpse of the end, a view of your purpose in life; what you see

yourself become; simply put, a living picture of your future. There is one quality

that one must possess to win and that is definiteness of purpose, it is the

knowledge of what one wants and a burning desire to possess it. Oprah Winfrey

said “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life because you

become what you believe.”

• Good leadership

Leadership is the organizing and coordinating of resources, energies and

relationships in a productive context for an intended result. Some people think

leadership skills should only be learnt by governors or presidents but no it should

be embraced by all. Each one of us will be a leader at some point in our lives

whether we lead a family, a group of friends, a larger group or a major segment of

society, each of us will act in ways to influence others. You must also gain this skill

for the daily enhancement of your business goals.

• Hard work

Wealth is acquired by those who are motivated by desire and willing to work hard

for what they want. If you have a dream, pursue it. If you have an idea, bring it to

reality. Don't let it go and don't give it up without a fight.

• Discipline

Self discipline is the ability to make yourself do what you should do, when you

should do it whether you feel like it or not.

• Commitment

A major key to success in life and to attaining that which you deeply desire is to be

completely released and throw all there is of yourself into your idea. The quality

of a person's life is determined more by their commitment to excellence than by

any other factor, no matter what the external circumstances. Be committed to your

dream.

· Quality Service

It does not matter what size of business you have, if you will give it a service

orientation far above anticipated gains, you will hit unimaginable results. If you

want to increase the quality and quantity of your rewards, you must increase the

quality and quantity of your contribution. Your contribution is your service and

you must hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else

expects of you. Never excuse yourself.

• Management

Acquire management skills from individuals that have either done the same thing

or something similar, they have lessons that you can learn from and take your idea

to the next level.

• Integrity

True integrity is making good choices consistently, keeping agreements with

yourself, persisting through the tough times and being 100% accountable for your

results.

• Creativity

You must develop creative thinking skills because creative thinking is what

generates ideas and the more you know how to generate creative ideas, the more

successes you record. Forget fable wives' tales and celebrity gossip going around

town, forget too much and unnecessary football score arguments on who will win

the premier league going around town, it's certainly not going to be you so think

of what to do to bring your ideas to life and put more money into your pocket. Be

less curious about people and more curious about ideas.

• Optimism

Your mind is the comptroller general of your destiny. Investing high optimism in

it will bring your ideas to reality.

• Dynamism

You must be dynamic. Dynamism is the ability to remain full of energy and new

ideas. It enables you remain flexible will still producing the best results in order

to reach your goals.

• Obsession

Be obsessed with your dreams, the secret of success is constancy of purpose.

Develop a mad burning passion to birth your dream and achieve the success you

desire.

As the business begins to earn profits, invest back into the business idea, there are

unlimited opportunities waiting to be tapped so don't squander your newly acquired

resources in acquiring new toys.

Pay your tithe which is ten percent of your earnings to ensure others benefit from God's

blessings in your life, save ten percent of profit and expand business reasonably to more

market segments

You must become financially savvy, by spending wisely and create an effective budget for

all of your projects. Keep the accounts tidy by maintaining a consistent cash flow.

Continuously identify more opportunities and strategies to drive your business idea.

THE TRUTH:

You need knowledge to create wealth!

When you see a man who walks on the streets with so much inelegance, who lives his life

in fear of the future, who gets worried about minor challenges, then two things could be

responsible. It is either he has an empty pocket or he has an empty head.

If you see a man who goes with so much confidence while he walks or drives along the

street, who is not disturbed when he suffers losses, who is not easily frightened by awful

situations and who lives his life with so much ease, then two things could be responsible

for his behavior. It is either he has a lot of money stored up in his bank account or he has

so much knowledge stored up in his mind.

Like Bill Gates, the seed to your success and wealth may be locked away in a scientific

manual you feel less than interested to open, it may be locked away in biographies of

business greats or established corporations. Success in a particular business depends for

one thing upon your possessing in a well-developed state the faculties required in that

business. Commitment to personal and continuous improvement is key to reaching your

potential and to being successful. Each day you can become a bit better than you were

yesterday.

If you employed study, thinking and planning time daily, you could develop and use the

power that could change the course of your destiny. It puts you one step closer to your

potential and you will also find that what you get as the result of your growth is not

nearly as important as what you become along the way.

Therefore, in order to create wealth you must be knowledgeable about everything going

on in the world as they will inspire the growth of your business in unimaginable ways.

PEOPLE WHO CREATED WEALTH FROM NOTHING

The Proverbs 31 Woman: The life of the Proverbs 31 woman encapsulates the whole idea

of entrepreneurship. Her culture of self discipline and her ability to contravene certain

cultural norms gave her an edge over women of her day. Many things are written about

her industriousness but one thing points to this topic, which is, “She seeks wool, and flax

and works willingly with her hands”, this is entrepreneurship, and she started from

nothing. She didn't go about seeking employment; she wanted to be her own boss. She

already had skill so she went about seeking raw materials in order to make linen. She is

active and has an open mind to the things happening in the world. She is an astute

investor seeking avenues to grow the income of her family like starting various

businesses. She works through the night, she is not idle and she was called blessed by all

meaning, she became wealthy. Please read Proverbs 31:10-31.

Fred Smith was 27 when he founded FedEx. His idea occurred to him when he wrote a

term paper for an economics class in which he outlined an idea for a transportation

company that will guarantee an overnight delivery of small, time-sensitive goods,

replacement parts and medical supplies to major US cities. Although the Professor was

not impressed awarding the paper a D, smith was certain he was on to something though

it took him a while before he could turn his ideas to reality. Today, FedEx is a $32 billion

global transportation and logistics company serving over 220 countries and territories.

Colonel Harland Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, got really fired up and

started regardless of what he had. Sanders had money problems like everyone else when

he was first building Kentucky Fried Chicken: left almost broke after his first restaurant

was sold at an auction, Sanders had nothing but his check of $105 per month from social

security. He was not born into a rich family. He spent much of his youth living and

working out on his own, trying to support himself and stay off the streets but he didn't

let that stand in the way of his future success. In fact, his experiences as a young boy

taught him how to make do with what he had available to him and it were precisely that

attitude that was able to lift KFC off the ground. His success proves that it does not take a

large initial investment to launch a business. By making do with what he had – a car, a

garage, his wife to assist and a meager social security check – he slowly began to build

one of America's most successful companies.

Toyosi Akerele, a young enigmatic entrepreneur very passionate about youth development

started the company, RISE poised to empower young people through a magazine and have grown

Nigerian cities and several top corporations and institutions raking in millions of naira every

year. What she had was just an idea…she thought like God, started with an idea from nothing

If you don't like any, create your own. It is right in you, in your mind and in your thoughts. So

make it happen.

After you have conceived the idea then you must take steps to achieving your dreams. There is

something that you have that is called Real Opportunity which can help you create wealth – find

it!

• Whoever you are, start with what you have, where you are, whatever it is – just start.

Soon, you will overcome the first obstacle.

• Set goals on what you intend to start and how you plan to grow. You will reach your

goal when your passion and desire become so strong as to rise out of your body like

steam from a pot of hot boiling water. After this presentation and you have not decided

to start now – Go get a JOB by which you know what that means-you remain Just Over

Broke.

These are some simple ways which I have used to create wealth from nothing. By coming up with

ideas that I didn't really need money to start, I made my very first one million naira.

Proofreading Personally, I have very strong English skills and exceptional grammar, so I

developed my ability to help people proofread their work either business or personal scripts and

made some good money out of it? An opportunity to work as a proofreader from home gives you

a chance to work from home. Advertising for this can be difficult but seek out those who might

actually be able to use your services and advertise directly to them.

Public speaking If you're the type of person who can get the attention of a room easily, public

speaking might be for you. Take advantage of every public speaking opportunity you can and

you'll be surprised at the opportunities that make themselves available for you. My ability to

communicate effectively has brought about the most outstanding results for me in all of my

pursuits in life, garnering me speaking engagements in churches, business seminars and

trainings across the world.

Writer I realized very early that I am a good writer and I used it to my advantage, writing great

poems and articles. For the poetry, I formed a club called Breeze mind poetry and dance club

which indirectly brought me money. As a writer, one of my write up won me the 2006 World Bank

100 best authors award and consequently fetching me a good income to launch my business e-

book CD, which made me my first one million naira.

Publicity My natural communication power endeared me towards media oriented platforms. I

began asking people and companies for their businesses which included poster pasting, handbill

sharing, submitting business introduction letters and event promotions. All these led me to go

into the sms marketing business.

SMS Marketing I started an sms marketing business by walking up the a company called kull

message.com in Ogba and asked if I could market their sms product, they agreed. I did that

effectively and then gathered enough money to start my own, which I called infinitesms.com, this

brought me money also as a young business man.

E-book Marketing I in partnership with a friend, created a 30 in 1 business e-book by

downloading free resource materials from the internet. It was a huge sell-out, making me a young

millionaire overnight.

Training I started by promoting other peoples workshops and seminars and afterwards I became

a trainer myself, by a constant self development process. I was able to package and create my own

workshops. The cheapest fee I receive as a trainer today is N150, 000:00.

Proposal Writing I personally trained myself in proposal writing and over the years, I have been

able to make over two million naira writing proposals for various clients which include

individuals, small businesses and governments.

Business Plan Writer One of my passions is to help people structure an effective plan to help

drive their businesses, so I learnt the art of business plan writing first to support myself as a

young entrepreneur who was chased out of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce office because I

went to make inquiries on how to write a business plan as I was about to embark on a publicity

business, I called City Bells, they told me to go to school instead of chasing shadows – I was just

19. But becoming like God is in our ability to chase the impossible – thanks to the internet, I

found entrepreneurs.com and bplans.com and I learnt how to craft a most convincing business

plan and I help others do the same and get paid for it.

Idea Creation Today My major business which doubles as my company is to think, create and

execute ideas and strategies for people, businesses, institutions and governments. This alone has

made us consult for more than 30 small businesses and over 100 individuals across Nigeria since

2007.

There is an idea in you that is connected to your skill, talents and ability. All you have to do is to

wake that idea up….just like the genie in the lamp…..your idea can bring you any amount of

wealth you want…

Become the Aladdin now by commanding the hidden treasures of your mind.

Rules govern the world, just as much as rules govern wealth creation, my candid advice and

suggestion is to passionately and deliberately hearken to these ten commandments of wealth and

they are….

1. Thou shalt remember the Lord thy God for it is He that giveth the power to get wealth.

2. Thou shalt trust in the Lord thy God with all thy heart, leaning not on your own

understanding.

3. Poverty is ungodly, therefore shalt thou revoke every resolution you have made to be

poor.

4. Thou shalt abhor poverty and sin with passion and desire the blessings of the Lord.

5. Thou shalt not engage thyself in idleness, but shall work with thine hands, the things

that enhance wealth.

6. Thou shalt do thy work with all diligence so that thou mayest find favour before God

and men.

7. Thou shalt not heap up wealth for ungodly use but shall honour the Lord with thy

substance.

8. Thou shalt not acquire wealth by dishonest means; neither shalt thou oppress the poor

with thy riches.

9. Thou shalt hold the power of knowledge in high regard and shalt explore the power of

inspiration.

10. Thou shalt use thy wisdom and thy wealth for the work of God and for the benefit of

mankind.

Are you ready to BE LIKE GOD?

Well …you can start becoming like Him right now.

But first you must become this in your mind and it resides in your attitude. Attitude is the first

quality that marks the successful man. The greatest discovery of our generation is that people can

alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.

The man who acquires the ability to take full possession of his own mind may take possession of

anything else to which he is justly entitled. Nothing can stop the man with the right mental

attitude from achieving his dreams and also, nothing can help the man with the wrong mental

attitude.

If you have a positive attitude and are a positive thinker, who likes challenges and difficult

situations, then you have half your success achieved. And when your attitude, your strong

conviction, your positive definition, affirms your position as a god, then your attitude out distance

your abilities and the impossible becomes possible.

In conclusion, remember these; to create wealth from nothing you must find a need or create an

idea, convert it into a product or service, market it to your phone contacts first, start now, now, now,

behold you are an entrepreneur ready to create wealth.

I will end with this quote by my friend, David Charima, A leadership consultant, He said, not

everybody is a poor person but the only poor person in this world is the person without an idea.

It is time to kick out poverty.
