Be an Artist with Clay How to make homemade no-bake clay On this episode of IPTV KIDS Clubhouse , you learned all about art. In this activity, you will learn how to make your own sculpting clay to create sculptures. What you will need: A grown up’s permission and supervision 1 cup (225 milliliters) water 4 cups (560 grams) flour 2 – 4 tablespoons (30 – 60 milliliters) cooking oil 1 1/2 cups (420 grams) salt Food coloring (optional) Glitter (optional) A large mixing bowl A large spoon Step 1: Combine the flour and salt into the large bowl. Add glitter for sparkle (optional). The finer the glitter, the easier it will be to mix. Add food coloring for color (optional). A few drops will go a long way. Step 2: Add the water slowly to your dry ingredients, mixing it in as you go, until your mixture is dough-like in texture. Step 3: Add the oil to your clay. This will make your clay soft and keep it from becoming dry and crumbly. Step 4: Remove your clay mixture from the bowl and knead it using your hands until it turns into dough. If it still feels too dry, add a little more oil to your mixture. Now your clay is ready to sculpt. Let your artistic talents and imagination run wild. If you want to save your clay, keep it in an airtight container to keep it moist. If you like what you have created, put your sculpture out on a table or windowsill to dry over night.
