> BCT extends 30 days credit to established accounts that have a credit history and have properly filled out the BCT Credit Application Information form and signed the Personal Guarantee portion. If sufficient credit history is not provided or available, it will be necessary to develop a payment history before credit is extended. If an account becomes delinquent beyond 60 days, the account will be placed on hold until all past due invoices (31 days and beyond) are paid, at which point the account may return to active status. Consistent late payment will result in credit revocation and the account will be placed on C.O.D. or pre-payment terms.

> High Volume Jobs If you have a customer who is a high volume user of business cards, it is to your advantage to consider Masters or Shell stock. Masters are simply a more economical way of producing multiple sets of cards over an extended period of time. The following is a simple list of criteria for printing Masters:

> High volume user 10,000+ cards > The card to be produced is at least two colours, and one of the colours remains the same; or the card to be produced is 2-sided and has a common side that does not change. > The printing is in PMS Colours and the imprint is not. > Two colors in the logo register with each other

Due to the light reflecting characteristics of thermography and also to the differences in appearance caused by different coloured papers, BCT follows the following process when matching PMS Colours.

1. A PMS number must be provided by BCT’s dealer when placing an order.

2. BCT will mix the ink and print a flat (offset) sample on 80 lb premium bright white cover stock. This sample will be printed to match the appropriate uncoated PMS colour swatch in the most recent version of the Pantone Matching System colour booklet. Only after the approval of the colour sample (by BCT’s Pressroom Manager) shall the job be printed.

Please note the thermography will usually appear darker than the same sample printed flat. As an approximation of a thermographic PMS colour, refer to the COATED SECTION of the PMS colour in question. This CLOSELY simulates the finished colour of the raised print item. However, there are a few colours where the uncoated sample in the PMS Book looks totally different than the coated sample in the PMS book. Please make sure if you require FLAT printing you are looking at theUNCOATED sample, and if you require RAISED print, look at the COATED section of the book...REMEMBER! The darker the paper used, the darker the PMS Colour will be in relation to the PMS colour swatch. 3. If no PMS number is given, and a printed sample is supplied, it must be on WHITE PAPER. We will match the colour to the Pantone Matching System Swatch Book. If it is not on white paper, BCT will not guarantee a match and will inform you of this. Should the colour on the finished product be more than one full shade off of the colour in the PMS Booklet, BCT will call you prior to proceeding with the printing. Any less variation will be considered as acceptable. The cost for a PMS ink mix and wash is $35.00 per PMS colour. Turnaround time is a maximum of four working days

There are two areas to keep in mind when ordering letterhead that is to be sent through a laser printer.

1. THE PAPER - It is best to choose a laser compatible paper for letterhead. This paper is more laser friendly & will be less likely to be rejected by the laser printer. * Please note that no envelope is truly laser compatible, even if made from laser paper.

2. THE INK - There are 2 choices & both can go through a laser printer.

A. LAsERsAfE Thermography is available for letterhead and envelope orders. LAsERsAfE thermography is for any order of stationery that will be placed through either a photocopier or laser printer. LAsERsAfE thermography is manufactured with a combination of a specialty formulated thermographic powder and ultraviolet light. This combination cures the raise permanently, so that the heat generated by photocopiers and laser printers does not re-melt the raised image of LAsERsAfE thermography as it would do to regular thermography.

The cost for LASERSAFE thermography is as follows: 1 run up to 500 Sheets $12.00 1 run up to 1000 Sheets $18.00 add’l 1000 on same run $10.00 per 1000

Please note, that due to the different thermography powder being used, LASERSAFE thermography has a slightly duller finish than regular thermography. BCT recommends against using LASERSAFE thermography on large solid areas. You will encounter difficulty feeding this type of job through laser printers or photocopiers. BCT also recommends against using Lasersafe Thermography with Standard Bond paper. This paper is just too thin to withstand the extra heat required for Lasersafe Thermography and it will bubble. The turnaround time for LASERSAFE thermography is a maximum of five working days. If you require a LASERSAFE finish on your order, you must check the box requesting LASERSAFE thermography on BCT’s order form.

B. fLAT PRINT - This is regular flat print. This can go through a laser printer.

Currently we accept files in PDF, EPS, or TIF format. PDF, or Portable Document Format, files arepreferred because of the ability to embed all fonts and images into the file, greatly minimizing the primary cause of problems with digital artwork. Much of today’s popular design software supports PDF creation. We can accept Illustrator CS2, Indesign CS2 and Corel X3 files. HOWEVER, there will be a $5.00 surcharge for these native files. We do not accept doc or pub files. STEP 3) Supply Camera Ready Art or Digital fi le - for a small art charge ($15.00), simple copy changes may be made (up to 4 lines of type).
