60th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

During the 2017-2018 Optimist year, BCNOC will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of our Club, which was chartered on June 30, 1958. We are planning on having a celebration event on September 22, 2018 at the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club. Our officer installation for the 2018-2019 Optimist year will also be done at this event. Past Presidents, if you have any information you would like to share at the event, i.e. scrapbook, awards, memorabilia, etc., please contact either Karen, Bobbi, or Corrine. If any of our members have photos from past events that you would like to share, please contact Corrine, who will be preparing a slide presentation to be shown throughout the evening. More information will be coming but mark your calendars and help us celebrate 60 years of serving youth in the Bay County area.

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

The Optimist Creed

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be to large for worry, to noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble
