The Waterfront Tour will bring participants to some of San Francisco’s premiere businesses, within a nice stroll from each other . This carbon-free tour provides a unique perspective on how relevant sustainability is to San Francisco, and how local business incorporate “green” into their mission . On this engaging and lively tour, participants will meet leaders of the sustainability movement, witness how positive solutions can be put in practice, and learn how to lower their carbon footprint . They will go behind the scenes and visit local pioneering, high-impact models of environmental responsibility . This popular tour features a variety of cutting edge green paradigms in downtown Berkeley, such as: a sustainable restaurant, bike station, rooftop community garden, e-waste recycling business, and LEED certified office or school building.

Moveable Feast A sustainable progressive dinner

Gather, connect with friends, family or colleagues and learn about sustainable food while you dine! The Moveable Feast is a unique walking tour visiting three model sustainable restaurants located with-in blocks of each other . During this intimate progressive dinner, participants enjoy leisurely networking while savoring locally sourced delicacies . Inspiring presentations by award-winning restaurant owners and chefs include information about Slow Food, Slow Money, local farms and food sources .

The Moveable Feast can be arranged for private parties, companies, groups and associations . We would be pleased to arrange a private Moveable Feast for your next special occasion… birthday, anniversary, reunion, work retreat, etc . This tour offers an insider’s glimpse into the fine craft of local cheese making. Participants visit goat, cow and sheep dairies and explore barns, milking parlors and cheese making facilities, while touring in a comfortable motor coach through the stunning Marin and Sonoma countryside . They will have an opportunity to engage in dialogue with farmers and cheese makers, and also with a representative from the Marin Agricultural Land Trust which works to preserve farms in the area . All featured stops use sustainable farming practices and sell their products to local markets and restaurants . Tour guests will taste and purchase products on site, and have lunch on the farm or at a beautiful picnic place en route .

Sustainable Wine & Cheese Tour

Participants will visit a sustainable or biodynamic Bay Area winery, enjoy a vineyard tour, taste and purchase wine, and engage in dialogue with the wine maker on the management of sustainable vineyards and its effects on the wine. While touring a sustainable goat, cow or sheep dairy, they can sample and purchase fresh cheese, learning from its producers about sustainable farming and the fine craft of cheese making. Tour guests will have lunch at one of the tour stops or at a beautiful picnic spot en route .
