It is imperative that all clothing is labelled with a permanent laundry marker or commercial tag with your child’s name. Please ensure that this labelling is placed where it is easily found. Items such as library bag, lunch boxes, umbrellas and hats, should be labelled to eliminate any doubt of ownership. For items that are lost please check with the staff in the office. An approach to school uniforms which develops in students an understanding of the importance of personal neatness, appearance, presentation, and self-discipline, is an important learning experience for all students who will one day enter the workplace where such attributes are highly valued. Thongs are not permitted under any circumstances. Sleepers or studs are acceptable earrings. Please do not send your child to school wearing any valuable jewellery and definitely not “drop earrings” as nasty accidents can result.
Batlow Technology School Uniform Information
Sports Uniform
In 2011 the P&C have added a sports shirt to the school uniform. The new shirt will be available for Kindergarten to Year 12 to be worn on sport and PDHPE days. There will be a phasing in period for the new shirt and if successful the shirt will become part of the uniform in 2012. The shirt will not be made for students in Year 11 or 12. Please enquire at the school office for orders.
