Bass Syllabus-‐Yellow Student prepares two pieces from a set list of six:
1. Crossin’ Three (HL Pg 22) 2. Octa Gone (HL Pg 23) 3. Rock ‘N’ Rest (HL Pg 32) 4. Movin 8’s (HL Pg 35) 5. Eight Ball (HL Pg 35) 6. Octave Blues (HL Pg 28)
Student to prepare three pieces set by ensemble director in the lead up to assessment period (Student to be assessed on one):
1. Libertango 2. Trio (JW Pg 42) 3. Tres Guitarras (JW Pg 46)
Play a G major scale at MM=60 ascending and descending with clear articulation:

hqey|eqh=|| 8 beat note in middle range with crescendo and diminuendo:

Musicianship:
1. Tune their instrument to their teacher’s instrument (except strings, piano, percussion, voice)
2. Sing a Perfect 5th or a Perfect 4th from a starting note given on the piano
*A Perfect 5th is an interval that is five notes away from a given note (Count the first note as 1 when counting up)
E.g. a perfect 5th from C would be G

3. Sing back a three note motif played three times on the piano within a comfortable vocal range
4. Read an eight beat rhythm using correct rhythm names. Note values: as for white with the addition of paired quavers
