History of Basketball

Basketball was invented in December 1891 by James Naismith. It had only thirteen rules.Teams had nine players, and the goals were wooden peach baskets affixed to the walls.Basketball become an Olympic sport at the 1936 games held in Berlin.

Basketball position1- Point guard- He is the best ballhandleron the team, also named playmaker. Generally he is the smallest player in the team.

2-Shooting guard- He is usually the best shooter in the team- Kobe Bryant

3- Small Forward- He must be quick and have strength

4-Power Forward- He should help the pivot

5- Center or Pivot- He is the tallest player in the team, he “plays” near the basket
