SAP Basis Document User ID Creation ( Transaction SU01 )

Give User Name Click on Create Button or Press F8

SAP Basis Document Fill Appropriate Details in Address Tab Now Click on Logon Data Tab

Give Initial Password as NEW Give Repeat Password as NEW Click on Defaults Tab

SAP Basis Document

Here in Defaults you will give following Details 1. Default Printer For the User Here Default Printer is LP01 2. Decimal Notations Used by the Company. Decimal Notation should be 1,234,567.89 Now Save the User.

SAP Basis Document Authorizations ( Transaction PFCG ) For giving authrisation to Users you have to create an Activity Group. Steps to Create Activity Group Run Transaction PFCG

Give Activity Group : ZBASIS Click on Create Button Give Description as Activity Group for Basis Administrator

Now it will ask you to Save Activity Group. Click on Yes to Save Activity Group. Click on Menu Tab

SAP Basis Document Now if you know for which transaction you have to give access then enter that transaction by clicking button Transaction

Click on Assign transactions button. It will assign all the transaction to the Activity group ZBASIS

SAP Basis Document Even you can attach the SAP Menu to Activity Group ZBASIS

To attach SAP Menu Click on Button From the SAP Menu Choose Appropriate Authorisation

In this screen we choose Administration for Basis Administration. Same way you can choose the profiles for various modules like MM,SD,PP,QM etc.

SAP Basis Document Click on Transfer Button to Transfer the Menu to User Activity Group.

See in above screen Tools menu is appeared for Basis Profile. Now Click on Authorization Tab

Click on Change Authorisation data button

Choose Yes to Save Activity Group.

Now it is asking for Organization Level Data. Give appropriate data. Click on Save Button

Now in above screen it shows u the various authorization objects required by Basis Administration as per given Transactions and SAP Menu. Click on + Sign and give appropriate authorization for Create, Change, Display, Delete etc.

Click on Pane It will show you various activities for that particular object See following fig.

SAP Basis Document Click on Save Button Now Give What ever authorization u wants to give. Click on Save Button

Give Appropriate Profile Name Click on Save Button Click on Generate Button to Generate Activity Group. Now you will attached the this Activity Group to User Basis

SAP Basis Document Find Incomplete Authorization

At the bottom line of above screen it show You have no authorization for Transaction SM51 To find the authorization for transaction SM51. Go to Transaction Window Type /nsu53 It will show you following screen

SAP Basis Document Find the required Object to related activity group. And give the transaction code authorization to the user. e.g. Here user TEMP requires authorization for transaction code SM51. Run transaction PFCG from authorized user.

Give Appropriate Activity Group Click on Change Button

SAP Basis Document Click on Authorization Tab

Click on Change authorization data button Now it starts loading Authorization data

SAP Basis Document Now Find the Object Required by /nsu53 It requires following information Object Object Class Transaction Code : S_TCODE : AAAB : SM51

Click on Find Button or Press Ctrl + F

Click on Find Object Button

SAP Basis Document Now it will show you various transaction codes which are assigned to user temp. Double click on Transactions Codes This will show you user temp can access only two transactions. i.e. VA01 & VA02

Now Add SM51 and click on Save Button

SAP Basis Document Now in the transactions code it shows you SM51 also.

Click on Save Button Click on Generate Button to Generate Activity Group. Tell User temp to log off and log in again. Now user temp will get the access for Transaction SM51

SAP Basis Document Spool Administration ( Transaction SPAD )

Click on Output Devices Button

SAP Basis Document Click on Change Button or Press F8

Choose Menu Output Devices. Choose Option Create

Fill Appropriate Information required by output device. Output Device :- Device Description Short Name :- Short name

SAP Basis Document Device Class :- Standard Printer Click on Host Spool Access Method Tab

Choose Appropriate Access Method. Here in Growel we always use L : Printer locally using LP/LPR. This access methods can be differ from Operating systems also. Host Printer : is the name of computer and printer where the printer is connected. e.g. \\prabhu\epson. i.e. the printer is connected to machine name prabhu and printer is shared with name Epson. Now Click on Save button to save the Printer. Now to check whether printer is successfully configured or not. 1. 2. 3. 4. Run transaction sm51 Choose System -> List -> Print Give Name of Printer as SAP5 Press Continue button to execute print.

SAP Basis Document Monitoring Spool Jobs ( Transaction SP01 )

In the Created by type * to monitor all users job. For specific user type user name. Press F8 to Execute

It will show you status of printing. If it is in error analyze the error.

SAP Basis Document Batch Input / Session Overview (SM35)

Through this you will check the various jobs schedule by different users. As well as u can change the job status i.e. background, foreground etc.

SAP Basis Document Define Background Job (SM36)

Through SM36 you can define various background jobs with its various class. e.g.

SAP Basis Document in above fig temp job is schedule in A Class ( High Priority ) Now Click on Steps button

Click on ABAP Program Button

SAP Basis Document give the name and variant of the job Click on check button Now Click on Start Condition Button

Press immediate button to schedule the job immediately. Or other wise give the Date / Time

SAP Basis Document Select Background Jobs (SM37) Through this transaction code you can monitor various background / foreground jobs schedule by different users. You can also monitor the status of the job. i.e. Scheduled, Released, Ready, Active, Finished, Canceled

Choose user name as * if you wants to monitor all users jobs.

SAP Basis Document Job Analysis (SM39) Job Analysis gives you summarized information about various jobs scheduled by different users.
