Feng Shui Tips Choosing a House You need to know some basics in Feng Shui in order to do this; First you need to know your KUA and the directions favorable to you and of course some basic Flying Star Feng Shui. You need a good compass with sub directions, if you can read a Luopan all the better because you will be able to know the exact facing directions with it. I recommend Lillian Too’s Flying Star Feng Shui For Period 8 orange booklet to be carried along when you are looking for a house. Next you need to know which floor level you decide to live on, if you choose an apartment after the 9 th floor you need to find out where the main facing of the building/panoramic view is at. Usually for an apartment after 9 th floor the balcony or living area which has windows facing a panoramic view is generally considered the direction where Flying Star Feng Shui reading is taken. Sometimes the Flying Stars for a particular direction may be good but the sector may not be at one of your favorable directions. It is naturally good if you can find the Flying Star direction and your Kua direction both favorable to you but it is not easy to come across this. The main door, room door and the room at the sector of your house should all be in your favor if you are looking to have excellent Feng Shui, however this may not always be possible as we’re not in control of the building design. If you’re looking at a landed property the main facing of the door is generally where the Flying Star readings are taken. It is obviously better if you decide to build the house from scratch after having all your Feng Shui analyzed because then you can allocate all the good and bad directions accordingly. If this is not possible you will still need to make sure that you change the existing house to a Period 8 by renovating the floor, changing the roof tiles and the main doors. You will then need to check which are the good and bad sectors of the house and conform accordingly. All Period 7 houses are already loosing its energy so it is not considered as good as a Period 8 house. If you have to rent or stay in such houses because of some reasons you must make sure that you check the Flying Stars of the premises because the good stars of Period 7 has turned bad and need to be countered properly otherwise serious disasters will emerge. Do not take this lightly and whenever possible please update all your Feng Shui regularly. 1

Kitchen Woes

The kitchen is advised not to be at the SW as it is considered to be the relationship or Yan Nian direction. Having the kitchen here would make the couple quarrel regularly and in some serious occasions may cause separation. Only on some occasions can the SW be at the kitchen but that needs thorough analysis and consideration.

The kitchen is advised not to be at the NW as it is considered to be the Mentor sector or Fu Wei for the Patriarch it is also considered Fire at Heaven’s Gate which will make life miserable for the Patriarch and difficulty in achieving success and monetary gains.

The stove should be positioned at the bad KUA directions of the owner. Namely the Huo Hai,Wu Gui,Liu Sha and the Jue Ming.

Bedrooms Mirrors are not to be used in bedrooms reflecting on beds as this would cause a breakup of the couple. No water or living plants should be in any sleeping quarters, this would bring bad luck.

Beware of beams above the bed and poison arrows from sharp pointed corners of pillars or edge of cabinets pointing at the bed.

Mattresses should be one whole piece Queen or King size and not two single mattress joined to make a single large bed. It goes the same for bed racks. Divan sets are not as good as Beds with legs, this is so because Chi is allowed to flow without obstruction.

Fishes

Red or Crossback Golden Arowanas are very auspicious. These can be placed at your Water Star 8 to achieve wealth and prosperity luck. Planted Aquariums are also as good. Just make sure that the water is clean and the fishes are all well fed and kept healthy at all times.

Décor

Use only auspicious paintings of carps or other scenic paintings and replace them if they look old and worn out. New symbols of auspicious items need to be changed regularly to invite refreshing Chi so that you will have continued good luck. Never display any paintings or art which symbolizes poverty ,violence , war or negative expressions.

Choosing a compatible partner

Take a look at this chart, it contains the 12 compatible and incompatible zodiac signs. It is definitely good if your partner has the same Kua number as well as a compatible ally .A wrong Kua or ally combination may have an uncertain relationship.
