Bartram's Garden currently has about 40,000 annual visitors. The extension of the Schuylkill River Trail through Bartram's Mile will increase visitation. There is no definitive means to measure this increase. It is believed that within the next 4 years Bartram's Garden could attract nearly 400,000 visitors. It is crucial that Bartram's develop the infrastructure to handle this increase to provide the visitors with a positive experience.

The Residents of Bartram's Village and Kingsessing are the predominant users of Bartram's Garden. New user groups will increase the level of diversity at Bartram's Garden. Kingsessing is approximately 90 percent African American and 3 percent Caucasian. Neighborhoods like Graduate Hospital are approximately 65 percent African American and 20 percent Caucasion. Bartram's must develop infrastructure that is culturally ambiguous.

An increase in visitation will create a strain on the maintenance budget at Bartram's Garden. Currently, Bartram's Garden is operating under a $1,000,000 budget. Bartram's Garden must look at ways to increase this budget. Bartram's could do this by charging rent and admission. Bartram's must consider infrastructure with the greatest return on investment.

Bartram's Amphitheatre has four shallow tiers. The tiers provide space for occupants to lay down a blanket and watch a show.
