And I said, Here am I. Send me! Isaiah 6:8

n late September a Techam came from the States too Bible translation projectsKenya to help them with

eir internet connectivityues. Namely, the Bible

    anslators were havingoblems emailing their

    ork to the main office.

was able to go along top offer construction and

ectrical support, since were installing solar powercause their electricity isermittent and unreliable.

Our team included two ITtechnicians RodneyMcQuillin and Russ Perry, aBGAN instructor (originallyfrom Kenya) Terri MwangiCollins, and me.

BGAN stands forBroadband Global AreaNetwork. It is a unit to which a

computer can be connectedthat shoots a beam to asatellite 24 miles up in the airthat will then allow internetaccessibility. So, even inremote areas of the world,Bible translators can email intheir work for safe keeping.

In years gone by, Bibletranslators used to keep twork on index cards in a box, which would sometimget destroyed during tranvia small boats or travover treacherous terrain. thanks to modern technoBible translators can beassured their hard work is

    safe from destruction.

And of course, while thI had to make time to plawith the local children. Akids the world over likelollipops!
