Two burglars were convicted when the satellite navigation system in their van recorded them at the scene of each of their crimes. It led to Ian Bansie, 33, and Steve Warrington, 31, who broke into ten houses in the space of three months, being jailed for a total of seven years.
Bansie used his work van to drop off Warrington outside each home they burgled, a court was told. A check of the van's sat nav gave a pre-cise record of their movements. The men, both from Kilburn, North London, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to burglary (oddee.com).
This story is kind of like our relationship with God. We know there are things in life we shouldn’t be doing, sometimes we do them anyway. We think “who am I hurting” or “no one will know”. We forget that even if no one ever finds out we are hurting God (if you love Me keep My commandments) and He knows all of the things we do (Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?) Will we go through life trying to get away with things we should avoid or show our love for Him by doing His will?
Don’t forget to sign up for our stew fundraiser, sign up list is in the commons area. Thank you to all who donated to our yard sale!
Men, November 15th and the next Sons of THE King is right around the corner, are you ready?
We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

SUPER SUNDAY
The date of our next Super Sunday is September 29! Our worship
will be at 10 am. After morning worship, we will have a fellow-
ship meal together. Immediately after the meal we will gather in
the old auditorium for our second service of the day.
Drake Jenkins will be our speaker for the day. Drake preaches
for the Ashland City Church of Christ in Ashland City, Tennessee.
I know we will be blessed by his lessons. Invite friends and
neighbors and plan to be with us.
M & M
This Monday night, September 16, will be M & M (Monday and
Ministry). Those singing at Columbia Cottage need to be there
at 5:15 pm. If you are delivering meals, please pick up your
meals at 5 pm. in the fellowship area. Dinner will be at 6:05 pm.
There are things to be done around the building, people to
contact, cards to write and prayers to be made. Join us for a
great evening of fellowship and service. Please sign the ministry
cards that are available on the table in the foyer. It really helps
our cooks to know how many will be eating.
CROSSROADS MEETING
This week I have been in the Jasper area preaching at the
Crossroads Church of Christ. This is a wonderful congregation
of God’s people. They really came out and supported the meet-
ing. Thanks for allowing me to preach the gospel to others!
I look forward to being back in the pulpit this Sunday. We will
continue with our series, “The Greatest Thing on Earth”. There
are two more lessons left in this series. This Sunday our study
will be from 1 Corinthians 13:7. From this verse, we can learn
some very good things about loving difficult people.
