Why am I here?

Unit Questions• Can students identify and compare historic Native American Indian

groups of the West, Southwest, Northwest, Arctic, Great Plains, and Eastern Woodlands regions at the beginning of European exploration?

• Can students locate major landforms and geographic features, places, and bodies of water on a map of the United States?

Content Questions• How were the Native American nations alike/different?• What was life like for Native American nations in the 1600’s?• What are the various major landforms and geographical features of

the United States?• What specific landforms are present around a specific Native

American nation?• How did the landforms in a region affect the Native American

nation?
