Our DHL IP HSE policy aims to ensure that all of our employees, subcontractors, stakeholders, assetsand the surrounding environment in which we work remain out of harm’s way. Any and all operationsare performed strictly within the guiding principle of “DELIVERING SAFETY WITH ZERO HARM” as statedin our HSE policy statement.

In addition to employing an experienced team of dedicated HSE and Technical Engineering professionalsto support our projects and operations across the globe, we have also instituted mandatory annualtraining for all of our employees, and continuously seek to review and improve our procedures.

Our sector teams understand the specific requirements of your industry and know how to minimise therisk of incidents and damage. Anyone involved with a project is empowered to stop any work that theyfeel is unsafe, without fear of adverse consequences.

Whether kicking off a management meeting with a safety moment, ensuring employees comply with theyearly mandatory training and operate accordingly, supervising and educating subcontractors andpartners, or performing a safety audit on site, SAFETY is an integral part of everything we do.

The DHL IP safety ethos of ‘DELIVERING SAFETY WITH ZERO HARM’ is embedded within the DHL IP HSEMS and is cascaded down throughout the DHL IP organisation from the Senior Management Team(SMT) to all employees. Senior Managers are given specific KPIs and objectives in order to ensure that they actively engage andcommunicate the tone from the top and this includes taking an active part in day to day operations.

Specific KPIs include conducting safety walkthroughs when visiting all DHL IP locations such as office,warehouse and operational sites and recording their feedback and findings to the project teams foraction as well as ensuring that HSE meetings are conducted (and they attend) within their regionsand/or offices and that minutes of those meetings are recorded and promulgated to all DHL IPemployees within their regions.

DHL IP have a clear Vison and Strategy for 2021/2022 which includes the implementation for a zeroincident culture, being the leader in delivering safety and ensuring that safety is engrained in all that wedo. This vision is fully supported and endorsed by the Senior Management Team (SMT) of DHL IP.

6.1 HSE ORGANISATION CHART

The CEO of DHL IP has appointed the DHL IP Global Head of QHSE to ensure that the HSE MS andpolicies are implemented globally across all business units and operational sites. Each region has an HSEfocal point assigned with whom the Global QHSE Head will regularly communicate targets, safetyfocuses and objectives to be passed to all employees and sub-contractors used for operations globally.

7 QUALITY ASSURANCE

DHL Industrial Projects (DHL IP) provides services to key Clients and is backed up by the larger DHLGlobal Forwarding organisation. Herein is a preliminary Quality Management Philosophy for theservices, which addresses the key components of the requirements.

DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) system has been designed to address the requirements of ISO 9001:2015and fully commits to the Quality Concept; it also insists upon an extensive Integrated ManagementSystem for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety as well as security. DHL IP quality managementstrategy is actualised through our regionally-based Quality Management Systems. ISO certifications aremaintained at a regional level for the ISO 9001 certification.

As part of our own group strategy “Strategy 2025 – Delivering excellence in a digital world” focuseson strengthening what we do best, our core businesses. It provides a framework for accelerating,especially digital, opportunities to enhance our customer services and continuously improve ourprocesses. Our document framework and supporting HSE ManagementSystem conforms to the requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001,with accreditation in several regions and countries.
