13 Karl Behr was an American Tennis player who was inducted

into the Tennis HOF in 1969. He is one half of an exhaustive list of tennis players, the other being R Norris Williams.

Williams’ reason for doing so was to pursue education at Harvard, whereas Behr’s was mostly to pursue Helen Newsom, who he would later go on to marry.

The 3 of them were part of a group of 700 odd people sometime in the first half of the 20th century, and Behr reportedly proposed to Newsom while ‘this’ was happening in the backdrop.
