BARD SEQUENCE Bringing college to high school — and beyond • Up to six transferable college credits from Bard College, allowing students to save time and money in their future studies. • Experience in college skills, including seminar discussion and critical reading and writing. • A dedicated college professor who will support students academically and emotionally as they take on the challenge of college-level study. The Bard Sequence Program offers engaging college humanities courses at no cost to students and their families. This is the newest program of Bard Early Colleges, which for 20 years has offered high school-age students tuition-free access to the intellectual challenges of a liberal arts-based college education. By bringing college courses to students' home high schools -- and now to students' homes, through Sequence Online -- the Bard Sequence aims to enhance the high school experience, expose students to college, and increase their chances of success in higher education and beyond. WHEN AND WHERE WILL BARD SEQUENCE TAKE PLACE? Sequence Electives will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4.00-5.30pm beginning on September 29th. The courses will be held entirely online. WHO IS BARD SEQUENCE FOR? Sequence is intended for students entering the 11th and 12th graders at select schools.* Sequence is an ideal course for curious thinkers who are motivated to move beyond their comfort zone in exploring new ideas and improving their skills in critical thinking, reading, and writing.
