March 15 , 2012 Dear St. Luke Families, After 23 wonderful years at St. Luke School, I have decided to make a career change. I have had a difficult 3 years in my personal life with the illness and subsequent death of my husband. It has made me take a step back and look at my life, and I have learned that change is good, for me personally, and for St. Luke. During my years here at St. Luke school, I have been blessed with an excellent faculty, wonderful families and really great kids! I am proud that 98% of our graduates have been accepted into their first High School of choice, and that our school!s Terra Nova scores continue to rank in the upper 15% of the country. I know moving forward that St. Luke School will continue to grow and maintain it!s excellent reputation. I want you to know that I am still your principal until June 30th at which time I will close my door one final time and open a new one. I hope and pray that you will see this as a new opportunity for myself as well as St. Luke School. The search for a new principal should take approximately 8 weeks. There is a committee that has been formed which will interview and make the final decision of who will be your new principal. Please know that I will help transition your new principal. I am asking you to support the new principal like you have always supported me. I also ask your continued prayers for St. Luke School and for me. God Bless You, Mrs. Barbara Rasinski

Dear St. Luke Families,

After 23 wonderful years at St.

God Bless You,

Mrs. Barbara Rasinski

Shealeigh is a 13–year-old singer/songwriter from Bartlett, IL whose You Tube cover performance of VV Brown's "Shark In The Water" was discovered by Ellen DeGeneres. Shealeigh was invited her to perform the song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in October of 2010. She remembers singing as early as two-years-old and began writing her own songs when she was ten. Inspired by Adele for her captivating lyrics and Taylor Swift for being a strong role model, she remembers being so moved at a

Beyonce concert that she said out loud, "This is what I want to do for the rest of my life."

In March 2011 started working with Frayne Lewis and signed to his production company OneSun Entertainment Group. In December 2011 Shealeigh was announced the winner of Radio Disney’s N.B.T. (Next Big Thing), a national Talent Contest that featured five Artists and bands in a head to head competition. During the four-month competition Shealeigh released two new songs, "What Can I Say" and "Spotlight" and Radio Disney listeners and Disney Channel audiences had the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists via Facebook, RadioDisney.com

and via text messaging.

Shealeigh will be here at St. Luke School Friday March 23rd performing for our

4th-8th grades! 10:00 Parents are always welcome!
