Babar

A simple, almost intuitive, form. Babar exudes a playful, sophisticated air that belies its technical complexity and functional breadth. Fixed or rotating polyurethane seat available with padded cushion in a range of one- and two-color combinations. The upholstered version may be covered in fabric, leather or faux-leather with or without backrest. Available in stainless steel with a brushed or chrome finish, the base is available in floor-anchored, fixed customisable-height (65 to 77 cm) or height-adjustable versions. Custom upholstery is also available. Models without upholstery and backrest have obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification.

Designer

Simon Pengelly

Specialising in furniture and product design, Pengelly Design was founded in London by Simon Pengelly, in 1993. They demonstrate a pragmatic approach and an affinity for design solutions that consider function, appropriate material and production processes. Their products, such as Nuur and Babar, are distinctive in theirfusion of lightness, understated elegance and timeless appeal withmodular rigor.
