MENSAHE
Ang Pagsusuring ito sa hugis ng Barangay ay silbing batayan upang makilala ang
tunay na kabuohan ng Barangay SAN ISIDRO. Dito ay mababatid ng lahat ang maikling
kasaysayan ng Barangay at ang kabuohang panlipunan at pangkabuhayang kaanyuan
nito sa kasalukuyan.
Ang mga talang napapaloob dito ay siyang magiging basehan o pamantayan
upang malaman ang mga tunay at madaliang pangangailangan ng Barangay para sa
mga proyektong isasagawa ng kasalukuyang pamahalaan.
Dahilan dito, lubos kaming umaasa na sa ating pamahalaang Nasyonal at Lokal
ay magkakaroon ng katuparan ang aming mga mithiin upang maitaas at mapahusay ang
antas ng pamumuhay ng mga mamamayan, mapanatili ang katahimikan at kaayusan sa
Barangay at magpatuloy ang pagkakaisa at pagkakasundo ng mga mamamayan tungo
sa isang maka-Diyos, makatao at maka-kalikasan para sa maunlad na pamayanan.

MENSAHE
Mahalaga ang kamulatan ng mamamayan sa mga impormasyon ukol sa
bawat barangay ng Atimonan. Ang magbigay ng konkreto at angkop na mga
datos ang layunin ng Socio-Economic Profile ng mga Barangay. Ito rin ang
magsisilbing matibay na batayan upang mabalangkas ng Pamahalaang Bayan
ang mga programang pangkaunlaran na ang mamamayan ang higit na
makikinabang.
Ang ating mamamayan ang salamin ng kaunlaran ng bayan kaya ang
progreso ng apatnapu’t dalawang barangay ay pinapahalagahan ng Lokal na
Pamahalaan ng Atimonan. Ang Socio-economic Profile ang testimonya na patuloy
ang pag-unlad ng ating bayan.

KATANGIAN AT INTERPRETASYON SA OPISYAL NA LOGO NG BARANGAY
Ang opisyal na sagisag (logo) ay binubuo ng dalawang hugis bilog, isa(1) sa loob at isa
sa labas. Ang espasyo sa gitna ng dalawang (2) hugis bilog ay nakasulat ang mga
sumusunod:
BARANGAY SAN ISIDRO – pangalan ng barangay at nakalagay sa itaas na
bahagi ng hugis bilog.
ATIMONAN, QUEZON – pangalan ng bayan at probinsyang nakakasakop sa
Barangay at nakalagay sa ibabang bahagi ng hugis bilog.
Ang gitnang bahagi ng nasa loob ng bilog ang mga sumasagisag sa
pagkakakilanlan ng barangay ay ang mga sumusunod:
BUNDOK LUNTIAN sumisimbolo sa makulay, makabulhan at matayog na
pangarap ng mga taga-barangay.
ULAP NA PUTI sumisimbolo sa malinis na kapaligiran, katapatan ng mga
namumuno at may disiplinang mamamayan.
NIYOG O PUNO NG BUHAY kapaki-pakinabang, ito ay naglalarawan at
sumasailalim sa buhay ng mga mamamayan ng barangay.
MAIS simbolo ng pagkakaisa ng mga mamamayan.
KAILUGAN mayaman sa mga lamang ilog, simbolo ng malalim na
pagpapahalaga sa kultura, tradisyon at pagkakaisa sa mga kalapit barangay.
PALAYAN isa sa mga pangunahing hanapbuhay, simbolo ng pagiging matiyaga,
masinop at mapagpahalaga ng mga magsasaka sa kabuhayan.
LANGIT NA BUGHAW sumisimbolo ng katiwasayan at mapayapang pamumuhay
ng mga mamamayan ng barangay.
SAN ISIDRO hango sa pangalan ng Santo na si San Isidro de Labrador.
Ang pagkilala ay ibinibigay sa mga nag-ambag para sa pagsasa-ayos ng opisyal
na sagisag (logo) ng barangay at ito ay ang mga sumusunod:
KGG. JOSE V. LAUDE – Dating Punong Barangay; na nagpatupad ng
pagkakaroon ng opisyal na sagisag ang barangay.
SK ALVARO SEJALBO – Dating Pangulo ng Sangguniang Kabataan; sa
pagdesinyo, pagguhit at pagbibigay ng kahulugan ng sagisag.
VISION
Isang Barangay na maunlad, may kapayapaan,
nangangalaga sa kalikasan at buhay, nagkakaisa at higit
sa lahat may takot sa diyos ang mga mamamayan.
MISSION
Paglilingkod na may kasamang sigla, upang higit na
mapataas ang antas ng pamumuhay at mapanatiling
matatag ang pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng pamunuan at
mamamayan.
1. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
KASAYSAYAN NG BARANGAY SAN ISIDRO
Ang barangay ng San Isidro ay itinatag noon pang Hunyo 24, 1780. Ang mga unang angkan na
nagsipanirahan dito ay ang mga sumusunod: Herminigildo Mapaye, Felipe Velasco, Venancio Garin, Crisaldo
Andaya, Inocentes Villamiel, Modesto Aguilar at ang kanilang mga pamilya.
Ang pook na ito ay unang tinawag na PAGSABANGAN na ang ibig sabihin ay ang pagtatagpo ng
dalawang ilog – ang ilog Sapaan at Ilog Maling. Ang mga unang nanirahan sa nayong ito ay nagtayo ng
kanilang bahay sa kapatagan at baybayin ng ilog na kanilang binungkal at tinaniman ng palay, mais at iba’t
ibang gulay.
Dahil sa mayamang lupa at sa kasipagan ng mga dito ay nagsisipanirahan kung kaya ang lugar na ito
ay nakilala at dinalaw ng mga mamimili buhat sa ibang pook upang bilhin ang kanilang mag produkto.
Noong taong 1903, ang pangalan ng nayong PAGSABANGAN ay binago at pinalitan ng pangalang
San Isidro bilang pagdakila sa patron ng mga magbubukid. Ang pagbabagong ito ay isingawa sa pamamagitan
ng pamahalaan lokal sa pangunguna ng noon ay Punumbayan na si Kgg. Alfredo Castro.
2. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Brgy. San Isidro is one of the inner barangays of Atimonan, located about 3-kilometers away from the town’s poblacion. It is traversed by the Maharlika Highway bounded on the north by Brgy. Tinandog, on the south by Brgy. Manggalayan, on the west by Barangay Sapaan and on the east by Brgy. Tagbakin.
It has a total land area of 393.2294 hectares per record of Municipal Assessor’s Office composed of seven sitios- Sitio Maligaya I, Sitio Maligaya II, Sitio Maligaya III, Sitio Sambat I, Sitio Sambat II, Purok Masikap and Purok Lavides (Lagyo) .Topography of the barangay is mostly mountainous . Almost 96% of land is agricultural. Definitive data were specified below:

3. SOCIO-ECONOMIC SECTOR
RHU Survey of 2014, showed that Brgy. San Isidro had a population of 2784.
There are more male than female with distribution revealing 69.40% of the total population belong to ages 10 – 59 years old; 17.56% under 1 year old to 9 year old
and 13.03% belonging to 60 years old and above. This shows that Brgy. San Isidro
has more working population than dependent population.
School going population (pre-school, elementary, secondary and college) is
computed at 38% of the total population and the most common religion is Roman Catholic.

96% or 380.2001 hectares of the barangay is devoted to agriculture. Major crops are copra and
banana. It has 14 hectares for irrigation system that contributed to the production of farm
products. Some of the populace are leaned to livestock production for additional source of
income.
