MENSAHE
Mahalaga ang kamulatan ng mamamayan sa mga impormasyon ukol sa
bawat barangay ng Atimonan. Ang magbigay ng konkreto at angkop na mga
datos ang layunin ng Socio-Economic Profile ng mga Barangay. Ito rin ang
magsisilbing matibay na batayan upang mabalangkas ng Pamahalaang Bayan
ang mga programang pangkaunlaran na ang mamamayan ang higit na
makikinabang.
Ang ating mamamayan ang salamin ng kaunlaran ng bayan kaya ang
progreso ng apatnapu’t dalawang barangay ay pinapahalagahan ng Lokal na
Pamahalaan ng Atimonan. Ang Socio-economic Profile ang testimonya na patuloy
ang pag-unlad ng ating bayan.

KATANGIAN AT INTERPRETASYON SA OPISYAL NA LOGO NG BARANGAY
Ang opisyal na sagisag (logo) ay binubuo ng dalawang hugis bilog, isa(1) sa loob
at isa sa labas. Ang espasyo sa gitna ng dalawang (2) hugis bilog ay nakasulat
ang mga sumusunod:
BARANGAY INALIG – pangalan ng barangay at nakalagay sa itaas na
bahagi ng bilog.
ATIMONAN, QUEZON – pangalan ng bayan at probinsyang nakaksakop
sa barangay sa ibabang bahagi ng hugis bilog.
Ang gitnang bahagi ng nasa loob ng bilog ang mga sumasagisag sa
pagkakakilanlan ng barangay ay ang mga sumusunod:
KULAY LUNTIAN sumisimbolo sa taglay na likas na yaman ng
kabundukang nakapalibot dito at maging kapatagan o bukirin.
BUKID ang luntiang bukirin ay sumisimbolo sa masaganang ani bilang
patunay na ang mga magsasakang dito’y naninirahan ay
punuhan ang
sipag at tiyaga sa pagbabanat ng buto sa pagtatanim ng palay,
gulay at prutas.
PUNO NG NIYOG larawan ng literal na puno ng niyogna sumisimbolosa
pangunahing produkto ng barangay
RILES ang sumisimbolo sa isa sa pinakamabilis na daan upang ang mga
produktong gaya ng niyog, palay at bigas ay mabilis ang kalakalan
at isang murang daan para sa kabarangay na maglalakbay
Ang pagkilala ay ibinibigay sa mga nag-ambag para sa pagsasa-ayosng opisyal
na sagisag (logo) ng barangay at ito ay ang mga sumusunod:
KGG. AMBROCIO PASAMBA (+) – Dating Punong Barangay na
nagpatupad ng pagkakaroon ng opisyal na sagisag ng barangay.

kahulugan.
VISION
Para sa taong 2014-2016 ang Barangay Inalig ay magiging isang
maunlad, mapayapa, matahimik na pamayanan kung saan ang bawat
mamamayan ay malusog at mau sapat na pinagkakakitaan.
MISSION
Maipagkaloob at maiangat ang Edukasyon upang maiagapay ang
bawat tao sa kasalukuyang pamantayan ng karunungan, mapanatili
ang kumunikasyon at elektpikasyon upang ang mamamayan ay
magkaroon ng pagkakaisa, maaliwalas na kaisipan at maakay sa
mabuting gawain at lalo’t higit ang katahimikan ng pamayanan,
mapaunlad ang transportasyon upang mapabilis maiangat ang antas
ng pamumuhay sa sector ng pangagrikultura siyang pangunahing
pinagkakakitaan sa barangay, maalagaan ang kalikasan, kalinisan ng
kapaligiran upang magkaroon ng maayos at malusog na pamayanan.
1. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
KASAYSAYAN NG BARANGAY INALIG
Sang-ayon sa mga huling tala ng kasaysayan, batay na rin sa mga patotoo ng
ilang natitirang nakatatanda sa “BARRIO INALIG” noong bago sumiklab ang ikalawang
digmaang pandaigdig, ditto sa Barrio Inalig ay may mag-inang punong-kahoy na kung
tawagin ay punong “DANLIG”. Ito diumano ay halos magkadikit; ang maliit na puno ay
nakahilig sa malaking puno, na para bang inaaruga ng malaking puno ang maliit na puno,
tulad ng isang ina. Ang salitang “DANLIG” na pangalan ng isang punong-kahoy ang marahil
ay pinagmulan ng “BARRIO INALIG” na ngayon ay naging Barrio Inalig o Barangay Inalig.

Inalig)
Sang-ayon sa mga sina-unang talang Alamt-Kasaysayan ng Balangay Danlig o
Barrio Inalig, sang-ayon sa mga patotoo ng ilang mga ninuno sa pook na ito, ang Balangay
Danlig ay lalong kilala sa tawag na “KUYA TULAY NA BATO; KUTA LA MESANG BATO; at
KUTA ILOG TALON”. Alin man sa mga katawagang ito ay tumutugon sa isang malaking
Balangay o munting kaharian ng isang mabagsik at matapang na DATUNG MUSLIM, na
lalong kilala sa pangalang “DATU APO JUMANUIG”, na di-umano’y malapit na kamag-anak
ni Raja BAGINDA ng SARAWAK, BORNEO, na sumumpa rito sa kapuluan bago pa dumating
ang mg Kastila.
Ang Balangay na ito o kuta ni Datu Apo Jumanuig, ay isang malawak o malaking
Balangay o Kuta, na binubuo ng maraming “Subdibisyon” o Hati, na kung sa ngayon ay
tinatawag nating mga Sitio o Zona. Buhat sa dulong silangan ay ang mga Sitio Mataas na
Sabang, Malusong, Mala-Duhat, at Mag-inang Danlig. Sa dakong Timugan ay ang mga Sitio
Gitnang Sabang, Ibabang Sabang, Munting Talon at La Mesang Bato. Sa dakong Kanluran
at Hilaga naman ay ang mga Sitio Malaking Talon, Mairukan, Balanatukan, Kawa-kawa,
Malakup, Nabubuot, Laktipan at Balangkit. Lahat ay nabubuo sa labing-anim (16) na Sitio,
hati o purok ang buong kaharian ni Datu Apo Jumanuig.
Sa paglipas ng mga panahon, nang dumating ang mga Kastila, una nilang sinakop
ang pook Laguinmanok at ang Look ng Jimissan, na ngayon ay mga bayan ng Padre Burgos
at Unisan. Noon naman, ang pinakapunong kaharian o sentral ni Datu Apo Jumanuig, na
kinatatayuan ng kanyang marangyang palasyo, ay ang kuta Tulay na Bato o Balangay
Danlig. Palibhasa’y makapangyarihan ay ubod din ng yaman si Datu Apo Jumanuig. Nang
mabalitaan ito ng mga Kastila, ang Datu ay hiningan nila ng buwis. Subalit tumanggi ang
matapang na Datu na magbigay ng buwis at magpasakop sa mga Kastila. Kaya napilitan ang
mga Kastila na digmain ang kaharian ni Datu Apo Jumanuig.
2. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Barangay Inalig is one of the inner Baranagay of Atimonan, located at about 13 kilometers away from the town’s poblacion. It is 8 kilometers away from the Maharlika Highway, bounded on the north by Barangay Duhat, Plaridel, Quezon, on the South by Barangay Rizal, Unizan, Quezon, on the East by Barangay Ilosong, Plaridel, Quezon and on the west by Barangay San Rafael.
It has a total land area of 211.1725 hectares per record of the Municipal Assessors Office composed of six sitio; Sitio I, Sitio II, Sitio III, Sitio IV, Sitio V and Sitio VI. Topography of the barangay is mostly hilly to plain and mountainous on the other side. Almost 99 % of the land is Agricultural. Definitive data were specified below:

3. SOCIO-ECONOMIC SECTOR RHU Survey of population 2014, showed that Barangay Inalig had a population of 1216. There are more male than female, with age distribution revealing 72.28% of the total population belongs to ages 10-59 years old; 16.45% under 1 year old to 9 years old and 11.27% belonging to 60 years old and above. This shows that Barangay Inalig working population is greater than dependent population.
School going population (pre-school, elementary, secondary and college) is
computed at 39.14% of the total population and the most common religion is Roman
Catholic and Iglesia ni Cristo.

99 % or 209.6896 hectares area of the barangay is devoted to agriculture. Major crops
are rice, copra, banana, cassava and vegetables. There is no existing irrigation system that
contributed to the limited production of farm products. Some of the populace are leaned to
poultry production for additional source of income.
